you cant DH Avila when Laird catches...if Laird got hurt and Avila had to go into the game...you lose your DH and your pitcher bats.

You could do it on days when Verlander starts.

You don't think JV would jack one yard every single time he stepped to the plate?

Also you could do it on days when Valverde closes (presumably that Laird gets hurt and goes out after Valverde has already blown the save).

Yeah, JV hit a rocket to left field (I think) but the LF was playing him like a normal batter and caught it. Feels like it was last year, but could be mistaken.
