Tigers vs. royals Game Thread April 17

Figures, I just mentioned how Raburn was perfect in chances this year.

That ones my fault.

Haha, Dickerson said Verlander told him when Leyland went to the mound last night in the 9th, he told Verlander "You're going to get me fired.".

Wow, Delbert, Mudhen, and little buddy getting to Chen.

I saw that Kaline posted that in another thread. That's why I like Leyland. In a situation like that, he goes out to the mound and that's what he says to his horse.

Leyland is a pretty funny guy. I didn't really think he should have left JV out there yesterday but it worked out so I guess it was the right decision.

Miggy didn't play that one very well.

No, and I wish the radio guys would stop sugar-coating it. We know he's going to make errors, but he'll make up for them with his bat.

Not sure how Mario and Rod call those.

I actually agree with Leyland's decision to leave him in for this reason...Valverde isn't comfortable coming into a game with inherited runners...lots of closers aren't. So once he sent JV out for the 9th and he got himself in trouble again...he basically had to leave him out there to get himself out of the jam. IMO, once you let JV start the 9th then he has to finish it.

Mario and Rod said he made the right decision on HOW to play that hop (backing up on it) but he just didn't get there.
