Tigers vs. royals Game Thread August 6

The one thing I've noticed about Verlander this year is that he's done a lot of scoreboard watching during his starts. A lot of people criticize it, but I'm not so sure it's a bad thing.

He pushes himself hard to pad his personal stats, but at the same time, it's paying dividends for the whole team.

Here's to 6 more innings of scoreboard dominance.

I'd be looking at the stats if i was throwing a no hitter every few games or so too.

Me either, but I remember Zumaya always checking the scoreboard for his pitch speeds.

DRiverGreg,
again sorry for all the mix up and difficulties last night. Glad you are here.

I think Verlander might be checking his fastball velocity on some pitches as someone else said.
and sure it is possible he is also watching the other Central game scores going on.

is anyone watching this online? and where do you watch it?

I think people use game cast or mlb.tv

I don't think 3 runs is enough. Yesterday we were up 3 and they got 3 runs in the 7th to tie it. So need to get more runs

I would like more, but Verlander tends to go deeper in games than Porcello, so less chance of our BP blowing it.

Monster, your Biakaba-however it's spelled pic makes me feel old!

favorite sports on tv memory that I have. Even more so than the NC in 97. I just remember hearing the victors come up on almost every play and seeing it on the fuckeyes' faces that they were scared and confused. i was 12.

Padres are putting up runs on the Pirates again. The Bucs are collapsing. Cleveland is underway.
