What has Drew Smyly got to be thinking? He's been great all year and has gotten no support, tonight he gets a little support and he's pitching very well except for 2 bad pitches and he get's yanked after 5 innings and 69 pitches for a total bum who promptly blows the whole fucking game.

Leyland just cannot do anything right lately. This loss is on him.

It's about time for someone from the Detroit media to grow a pair and call Leyland out publicly and severely. There have been a lot of questionable moves lately and some ones that were very bad without question, but this is beyond all of that.

Don't get me wrong. I like Jim, he's a good guy, it's nothing personal. He just isn't a good manager anymore. He may have been at one time in the past but he is taking a good team and making them very ave.

Yeah, that bats suck in the clutch, but how the fuck did they pull Smyly for Putkonen? That is one of the worst pitching moves I have ever seen a Tiger manager make and not just because of the results. The only thing that excuses it is if we find out Smyly had a sore arm or a blister even.

Give it a rest with that. Bottom line is, once again they were leading late in a game and the move to the bullpen blew it. I don't care if its 1-0 or 12-11 they were leading late.
