Tigers vs. whitesox Game Thread May 14

Yeah, that bats suck in the clutch, but how the fuck did they pull Smyly for Putkonen? That is one of the worst pitching moves I have ever seen a Tiger manager make and not just because of the results. The only thing that excuses it is if we find out Smyly had a sore arm or a blister even.

Whoa....slow down there.....you said this LOSS is on Leyland.

Now you're saying well, maybe cause it could have been a blister?

Everyone agreed we should have scored about 5 more runs, someone even said we should have 12 runs, but we only have 5.

But the pitching change cost us the game. Because the game plan is to not score runs and the pitching to be perfect.

BTW, it's not a loss yet. but if we lose sure Leyland deserves some blame, but not all, but they probably have reasons for pulling Smyly even if we don't agree with them, but once again, we left a shitload of men on base, the batters have to answer for a lot of this.

Give it a rest with that. Bottom line is, once again they were leading late in a game and the move to the bullpen blew it. I don't care if its 1-0 or 12-11 they were leading late.

You give it a rest.

You make good points but then again we got 5 tonight!! that's a lot for us.

JP has been horrible with the bat, how come Lloyd can't figure him out again like he so quickly supposedly did last year.

Off a Pitcher we kill everytime, then their BP comes in and we go limp again....we didn't score those 5 runs, Danks gave them up.

I am sure glad they were laughing and having fun in the dugout when they were up 5-2 and not adding runs on.......I hate this team right now... At this moment..

If they could ever make a damn out worth something....but they can't even get a runner to third 90% of the time...and heaven forbid they should get him IN from 3rd...

the tone in mario's voice is adding to the frustration.

aaaaaaand another Tiger batter snatches a strikeout from the jaws of a walk...

When's the last time we hit a homer? Did we have one the entire West Coast trip? I can't recall one.

You have to laugh, there is nothing else you can do but laugh. Laird tripped over his own two feet. bahahahahaha silly laird. He's so funny.

He brought in Lou Putkonen for the love of god!!!! He of a grand total of 4 IPs in his career and a balmy 6.75 ERA. I don't care if we leave 27 on base this game, we had a lead and a pitcher who was doing well despite a couple mistakes and had thrown only 69 pitches. It was a terrible decision before Putkonen gave up 3 runs. No excuse.
