Just came back, and I gotta ask, why the fuck was Putkonen brought into this game?

Inexcusable.

I still can't understand why he's on the team.

It's hard to fathom how a pitcher who has had as bad of a minor league career as Putkonen has reached the majors so quickly.

Everyone just assumes that because we overcame a poor start last year we'll do the same thing this year. That's not always how it works and after 35 games this team has not looked like a good baseball team very often.

I for one do not assume that, we got Victor back last year and that made all the difference, that ain't happening this year nearly as soon if at all.

Victor would completely change the complexion of this team...I believe that whole-heartedly now. Maybe that's the problem...they're thinking about how good they could be next year and forgetting about this year.

And yet all it takes is a couple hot streaks later in the year and everyone will forget all about April and May, just like last year.

I'm not in panic mode. I'd like to see someone, anyone really start hitting though, Fielder, Boesch, Raburn, Young, Avila....anyone.

just got home from work, a couple things...


- why the FUCK did putkonen come in in the 6th instead of Below? one sucks, the other doesnt.

- i see our offense continues to fucking suck aside from a couple big innings, stranding runners left and right and not having good at-bats. peachy.

- im getting sick and fucking tired of leyland's sac bunt fetish. laird is the only one with a "successful" sac tonight, but i know for a fact he's tried it at least 2 or 3 more times. its pointless, it gives up outs, and we dont fuckin need them.
