Tigers vs. whitesox Game Thread September 12

Pretty amazing how hot this team is right now... Watching in the basement since my daughter is at band practice... Finally I get the Big screen....LOL

6-2 wow!!! I actually though the Tigers would lose this but this offense is elite..

Magglio needs to hang it up..

I have a feeling he will announce he's retiring after this season.

A career .300 hitter that drops off this much, he knows.

I remember weeks ago when we were doing predictions on what it would take to get to 85 wins for each contender because that was likely what would win the Central, that seems like such a long time ago. Going for our 85th tonight!

True, but I think 85 wins might just about win it.

Would be nice to get him a ring to take into retirement.

Happy wife/daughter = Happy husband/father

Don't mess with em, especially when out numbered!

If the Tigers win, this would be the first 10 game winning streak since 1968 I believe..

Tigers 4th inning,

Jackson takes a high changeup, another outside, fastball outside, again for a walk,

Magglio swinging on the first pitch? waits throw to first, takes a fastball strike, fastball fouled back, fastball inside, swings and misses belt high,

Young waits throw to first, fastball way high over pierzynski's glove wild pitch and Jackson to second, high fastball line drive single to shallow right and Jackson scores, Young with 20 rbi in 25 games,

Tigers lead 6 - 2,

Cabrera takes a fastball outside, fastball fouled back, cutter low, fly to right,

Martinez first pitch pop to first,

danks with 74 pitches,

Tigers lead 6 - 2.

If anyone is watching Monday Night Football, Chad Henne is lighting it up on the stat sheet.. I knew he was better than he showed last year.. He just needed the right coaching.. I saw him play a bunch in college..

Porcello 4th inning,

viciedo strike call, swings and misses a sinker, slider low, fastball fouled back, fastball over the heart of the plate lined up the middle single,

rios fastball strike call, slider low, grounder to Inge throws to Raburn at second and over to Cabrera at first for a double play,

deazza strike call, slider low inside, sinker pop fly to Young in shallow left,

Porcello with 68 pitches and another good inning settling down,

Tigers lead 6 - 2.

Rick Porcello, No. 2 in MLB in run support average (8.80) ... and often uses all of it. FWIW, Tigers have 2 in top 5, 3 in top 30.
JV is No. 66 in run support average, Doug Fister dead last (No. 98

Just sad we have to wait 4 months for Raburn to become a ballplayer.

Has a chance for the Cycle now.
