Tigers vs. yankees ALDS Game 1 Thread Oct. 1

I don't think you count this as a bad Fister outing.. He was put into unusual circumstances.. The rainout fucked us..

How so?

The game was 1.5 inning old when he started it, but still a new game from the standpoint he was fresh, and so was everyone else.

He was awesome the first few innings, but really was falling apart there bad at the end.

The Cano bomb was huge, but the single with two men on I think was the backbreaker.. It then made it a 3 run deficit in an otherwise tight game..

Yup..

0-2 pitch.... I replayed it five times... each time that brain dead pitch caught to much of the plate...

He just made a bad 0-2 pitch. He missed his spot and hung a breaking pitch right down the middle. This sounds stupid but I think I'd be a lot more pissed had we lost this game 2-1 or 3-1.

Time for my pitchers bat Tommy bridges because that is how bad the Tigers are hitting..

41-14 wisconsin right now.... Welcome to the Big ten Nebraska.

don't big comeback coming...[/quote:6xcpglfj]

I didn't. Just can't do it. Maybe if we left Inge in we would be winning? Lol.

I think by the 5th inning or so he was getting rattled.. I think with a full start to game 2 and he would have been at his usual routine.. THe smallest things can throw certain pitchers off.. He did make a few bad pitches though.. And it's not liked he got totally bombed until Al AL gave up the granny..

This is the playoffs.... You can't miss that pitch... And no I would rather lose 2-1 because then we know we have the tie shot in ever at bat... It was a terrible pitch.....0-2 is normally not a close pitch with Fister...

Betcha he's sitting on the bench saying that to himself.

If you lose 2-1 how can we have the tie shot in every at bat.

IN unrelated news, Wisconsin is dominating Nebraska.. What a sour Big 10 opening for them.. LOL!!

Lol.

The pitching has been bad, but this offense takes the absolute cake.. If this continues with the bats, it won't matter if we have the ghost of Walter Johnson pitching..

Tomorrow afternoon is now the "must win" game for the Tigers, or its all but over.. I don't see any '06 rerun w/o a pumped up old vet SP like Kenny Rogers pitching Game 3 in this postseason series.

He is a starter not a reliever. This whole game is a mess because the Yankees took Verlander out of the series with their weather forecaster. Maybe starting in the second inning messed him up, maybe it didn't. We shouldn't have to wonder about that.

Either that or thinking about getting a really cool neck tattoo in the offseason.

Actually it isn't. Game 3, 4, and 5 are.

I dunno, if it's me I don't go out thinking it's the bottom of the second inning.

I just go out and think fresh start 1-1 is the same as 0-0, and plan on throwing 7+ innings.

Last night may he screwed the team as far as the series goes, but I would not think it would effect how Fister pitches tonight.

Eh whatever.. It will certainly be a huge disappointment if the Tigers lose this series, but they are relatively young at a lot of positions and have some money to spend in the offseason, so the future is certainly bright..
