yeah it never makes any senses with runners on the base.. you may get a wild pitch... You may get a HBP... Tigers never seem to teach plate disciple or patients at all in their whole system..

That's a pretty bad loss, first Benoit blows it, then our hitters can't get a runner home from 3rd with zero outs. Tough series coming up, need to take 2 of 3 in Texas.

Avila is a terrible runner, it was a good move, it was the other 3 that dropped the ball.

Should have PH'd Baker for Santiago, or had Ramon bunt, and PH'd either Baker or Young for Berry.

24 hours for the sting of this one to linger. One of the reasons I hate afternoon games. If you lose late in the evening you can't mix yourself a stiff one and go to sleep. Lose in the afternoon and you have to have it running through your head all damn evening.

What Berry did Tuesday has no bearing on this game.

He was terrible all game, lets a ball drop in that leads to a run, and goes 0-5 with 2 K's.

You can blame Leyland if you want I guess, but this game was blown first by Benoit, then by the Santiago and Berry.

Won't surprise me if Benoit winds up on the DL. He has had a sore shoulder, rested for a couple days wasn't enough. Using him as often or slightly more than last year, from what I was reading at the rate from the year he had surgery.

All I saw was the bottom 9th from my last post, I was thinking a pinch hitter for either or both Santiago and Berry.
