Tigers vs. yankees Game Thread June 1

Who makes the decision to start Crosby... Is it DD or Leyland.. Either way it is freaking stupid....

GIDP No. 3 on the game, and 57 for the season. Ends the game.
Tigers now hitting .108 with bases loaded (4-for-37/12 RBI).
BahFongool

Does anyone know what the MLB record for lowest team average with the bases loaded is? We're .108 now with 4 hits all year, 4 HITS ALL YEAR!!!!

And the Sox take the fucking lead 5-4.... Error helps with the run..

like his 400 average with bases loaded?

I at least do appreciate how Prince always runs hard down that line, Miggy on the other hand out for a sunday stroll running out those ground balls. Now I know he can run faster than that he's got 3 steals this year!

He's one of the best hitters on the planet. No need to nitpick at Miggy.

Yeah Yankee hitting coach help Granderson verses LHP.. We traded away a guy who had the quad 20 one year..Just brilliant.

Cabrera was 0 for 2 this season bases loaded,
.373 risp

career .422
.328 with risp

What are the Sox since picking up Hudson....LOL is it 10-1 or 11-1...

Sure. We're not a very good baseball team. Too many holes. And now injuries are making even more holes.

And observations of things like guys not running out ground balls stand out more during times like this.

If this team was healthy, we would probably be .500. We're being kicked in the balls by injuries though, especially with the losses of Fister and Jackson.

Well I don't think we won any of Fister's starts when he came of the DL..

What's the difference if you would have been out anyways? Laird hustled tonight and blew up his hamstring. If Miggy wants to jog to 1st base when he grounds out, I'll let him. If that's what I have to put up with from a guy who averages .318, 30+ homers and 120+ rbi's in his 10 year career then I'll gladly deal with that.

We haven't. And now we're starting to lose JV's starts. That just can't happen if this team has any chance of winning this division. Fister is very concerning because that injury can keep coming back all year.
