Top 100 of 2015 - Lions

The run defense will not be as good. 3.2 YPC and 69.3 Yards per game which were both #1 in the NFL will both be worse next year.

Ngata is a better run defender than Suh. We get Tulloch back. Year 2 of sytem for DEs and OLBs. We will not be worse.

Top 5 defense for Detroit in 2015. PPG, YPC allowed, 3rd down stop %, turnovers forced and pressure (sacks, hits, hurries).

You are all being idiots and underrating this defense. We improved our defense.

It might be.....but Ngata is no slouch and Reid looks to be improved. Fairley was nothing special against the run.

I don't think we'll be as good either......but we wont be worse by much, IMO. I'll say 3.6 and 84.0....which would both still be a very good numbers for a run defense.

Everyone is assuming it's be a piece of cake for Ngata going from the 3-4 to the 4-3.

Boy I'm not. I've said several times we don't even know yet if he can make that transition at all.

Word out of camp is that he's struggling. I don't know if he's even going to start for us to be honest.

It happens..I hope he can play well but your whole career in the 3-4 it can't be easy.

As long as he doesn't get pressed at the line.

In his defense...every elite QB throws a back shoulder fade when his WR has the defender beat by 5 yards. It's stupid to throw a TD pass when you can try and get PI called!

When Stafford threw it, Fuller hadn't beat him by 5 yards yet. And I never said he was pressed.

You people need to pay attention.

4-3 scheme is easier. it will be a piece of cake for Ngata. A powerful athletic DT.

Yet he's struggling in practice. Yes, I know - it's early, lol. Hey cupcake, do you actually believe anything you say?

he's not struggling in practice. You just make up stuff. He's a beast still learning a new technique that's easier than his old technique. Attack the QB. It's not that hard

I not only believe, I have strong evidence supporting everything I say. You just have hate and misinformed opinions.

He struggled when asked to do more than occupy blockers and be a clog. He should be good enough to make the adjustment, but his strong suit isn't playing a position where you need to attack more often.

Ngata had a good pass rush grade. He doesn't struggle rushing the passer. He did better at 3-4 DE than the clog at nose tackle this past year. Ngata will be a good penetrating DT. He's big strong and athletic. Still a beast. Coming off agreat seaosn. Beast against the run too.

Lions will have a better pass rush than 2014.

NT in the 3-4 is the easiest position to play...just occupy space & hope to get double teams. The attack position that Suh used to play is more difficult because you need to be able to attack up field and defend the run. This will be a huge transition for him.

NT is the tougher . And Ngata was good at it. Ngata played alot of 3-4 DE which is though and did well. You have to read and react in that scheme. Our scheme you just penetrate and attack. Detroit has an easier scheme for a DT. It's easier for Ngata to just use his power forward instead of having to think so much based on the Oline. He'll do well in this scheme.

I wonder why teams that play the 4-3 don't draft 3-4 NTs to play DT? I mean...it is easier so you would think that they would excel even more in the 4-3...right?

Maybe he gets cut???
