Top 100 of 2015 - Lions

Does this guy sound crazy to you? Nah. - Martin Mayhew (2011)

This organization hangs banners for wild card appearances. This loser organization probably WILL build a statue for him!

11-5 is not a loser. It's a very good team that got screwed by the refs. With proper reffing, Lions are hanging a Super bowl win banner.

They don't recognize our super bowl this year:

Hey at least we are slightly better than Houston and Jacksonville. Who cares we've been in the league since the super bowl era began and they have not. We still are slightly better.

Since Jacksonville has been in the league they have been more successful. The ONLY reason the Lions are ranked above them is the HOF players which all played prior to Jax being in the league.

Pathetic!

11-5. Good team

Another double digit win season incoming with playoff wins this time. Our roster is loaded.

Who cares about the 60-90s and the Millen era. Who cares about 2012 and 2013. This team is stacked with talent and is coming off 11-5.

The 90s teams were better.

No. No they weren't. The '91 team was. But that's it.

The 2014 team was the best Lions team since '91 and before that back to '83.

Now, that's not saying much.....granted......but a team built around a STRONG defense is going to consistently win more games than any one sided, offensive teams. If it were possible to match up the '14 team and the '91 team head to head.....I'd take 2014.....21-17.

Teams based solely on a good offense seldom do well in the post season. See Manning, Peyton.

Teams that cant score do well much much less often. The ray lewis led ravens teams are the only ones recently I can think of that have that hard of a time scoring but still won games. We scored less than 20 points in a game WAYYYY WAYYYY WAYYYYY to often last year for being considered a "good team." Yes, we were a good team, with a weak schedule, that couldn't win a playoff game, that couldn't score points that was led by a great defensive effort.

The Lions could move the ball well and score points. Injuries and kicking hurt the PPG total. They scored plenty for 11 wins and outplayed the Cowboys. Refs messed up a playoff win with no PI and allowing holding like crazy for the Dallas Oline. It wasn't just a defensive effort. Offense did lots of good things in 2014 despite injuries. Protection and run game have been addressed and should be good in 2015.

And it wasn't a weak schedule, Falcons, at Panthers, Saints Miami, Vikings, and Buffalo (top 5 D) are tougher than they appear. at Pats and at Pack and at Arizona are all super tough places to play. 11-5 with a tough schedule. 2015 is easier than 2014 schedule due to home vs Broncos instead of at Pats. Chargers/Chiefs on par with Buffalo/Miami. Oakland easier than at Jets. Vikings tougher but Packers weaker. Bears still suck. at Saints instead of at Zona is easier but Eagles tougher than Giants. Slightly easier in 2015. We finally get some home games against good teams like Eagles, Denver and Arizona.

We went to the playoffs 6 times in the 90s. I'll take that over the next decade.

They could go for each of the next 100 years and unless they win playoff games it's a failure. The team has been a failure for 57 years, who cares if they get to playoffs now and again if they don't win. They're the Cubs of the NFL.

The 2015 Lions are good enough to win several playoff games this year. You are delusional if you think otherwise.
