You are quite literally the only person who watches football in the entire world, not impressed by Beckham.

That should tell you something.

Your lord and savior Mayhew is very impressed by Beckham.

Wasn't there an article saying that Mayhew was picking OBJ at 10 last year, but Lombardi changed his mind and they went Ebron? Yikes!

Sounds similar Harrington/Jammer from 2002 though I didn't read the article you're referring to.

Let our OC have input but not final decision. I hope it didn't happen that way.

Good thing we didn't......LKP says he's only good against bad defenses and he isn't impressed by OBJ.

Whew.....looks like we dodged a bullet on that one!!!!

I'd accept OBJ as our third option. Lions are stacked at 11-5. Who cares.

If I remember correctly, they said that if Ebron wasn't there at #10, they were taking OBJ.

Mayhew, Caldwell, and Lombardi were all sold on Ebron. Even Austin said he wanted Ebron at #10 more than anyone except Watkins. So pretty much the entire upper management team wanted him.

But if he wasn't there, and they didn't think he would be, OBJ was the next option on their list.

It would be nice...a guy that can catch anything vs. Ebron who couldn't catch a cold. BTW...OBJ would be the #2...he is better than Tate. Tate would be the perfect slot WR

lol

Darko was the right pick at the time too...they won the title that year...just like the Lions won the "LKP super bowl" last season!

Is there a modern dynasty that compares to our LKP world titles? Russell's Celtics perhaps?

LKP's Lions dynasty is right in front of Wooden's 10 titles in 12 years. Lions had 11 "True titles" in 12 years!

He looks like he may be the better WR. Too early to tell. Tate was brought here to be the #2 behind CJ. He's also paid a lot of money. To say that OBJ is the automatic #2 on the Lions is premature. He was hurt with a bad injury and he did nothing amazing in college to say that he was going to be a stud. He would have been behind the 8-ball in Detroit to begin the season. He would have been fighting for the #3 with Ross...lol. Sad but true. I'm sure he would have won the job, but his snaps would have been limited here in Detroit to start off his career. Then the DAG Crew would be crying all year.
In NY, he was immediately behind Randle and Parker because of his injuries. He was a #3-#4 to start off his career. Obviously the Giants coaching staff seen this kid every day in practice and started to realize that they have something special, but if it wasn't for Cruz's injury last year in NY, you may have never heard or seen the magic that OBJ delivered. Sometimes an injury makes other players shine....

Tell me which tight end on our roster is ready to shine and I'll break the ankle's of the other two! I'm all in!

Wilson 20
Ben 26
Brees 30

Surly Stafford will be coming soon...right??

Ranked 99 in 2013. But you all dismissed that season for some reason.

Protects the ball but didn't have the run game and protection to shine. Dealt with some weapon injuries too.

Elite year coming in 2015. Year 2 of offense, healthy weapons, better run game and protection.

4,800-5,000 yards 35 TDs and 12 ints with 65% completion

So...you, Chris Johnson and Joique Bell can predict the future now!

Now, I'm not really into defending LKP......but we ALL make predictions about a team or player every year. Don't act like because he does it he's trying to be Mrs. Cleo.

You've done it, too.
