Top 100 of 2015 - Lions

The 2015 Lions are good enough to win several playoff games this year. You are delusional if you think otherwise.

See the thing you don't realize is this team could also finish around 8-8 and not even make the playoffs. They have to prove they can be consistently good before you can lump them in with the good teams. Until then they will be a team of potential.

They proved they were good and upgraded all over the place this off-season

Year 2 in both systems, MLB, nickel, DT 2-4 upgrades, DT 1 run defense

Interior Oline, RT and RB upgrades.

This team is still stacked, like I told you last year. Nobody believed me then and we went 11-5.

12-4 with some playoff wins is the most probable outcome for this team. Anything could happen, they could have catastrophic injuries to multiple players.

Sorry if I don't trust the people that thought our defense wouldn't be great last year. This offense is healthy now too and can be a top 10 offense. The talent is there. Now the experience comes in year 2 of the system with better Oline and weapon and RB health.

They could go for each of the next 100 years and unless they win playoff games it's a failure. The team has been a failure for 57 years, who cares if they get to playoffs now and again if they don't win. They're the Cubs of the NFL.

no...the Cubs have playoff wins in the past 2 decades...unlike the Lions!

What was your 2010 Prediction?
2011?
2012?
2013?

You also thought our offense was going to be top 10/5 last year.

They have yet to prove they can put together back to back successful seasons. They have yet to prove they can win the division. They have yet to prove they can beat quality teams on the road.

95% of the teams think they are better next year than they were the year before. We were a overall healthy team last year compared to a lot of teams, we could have more injuries this year.

This team is an unknown. Based on everything I wouldn't be surprised if they make the playoffs or if they didn't.

You could easily be a rich man come January 2016 if you think it's guaranteed they make the playoffs. If I knew something was 100% certain I would damn sure try and capitalize on it monetarily.

They don't have a single "proven" upgrade on the team. You assume that they will be better in year 2...but that is not always the case. You assume that the team will stay healthy but that is never the case. All of your assumptions above are based on best case scenario which rarely happens...especially when you are talking about that many unknowns. The most probable outcome for the team next year is likely within 2 games of a .500 season.

Haha. You calling others delusional, that's funny. What were you 6 the last time they won? 1 time in 57 years but this team, the one that lost one of the best players in the league , is going to pull off multiple playoff wins? You, half brain, are a moron.

They only have 1 playoff series win since 2008. Easier to get wins because it's not one game and out..

yes...but it has been much easier to get into the playoffs in the NFL...so it kind of balances out!

They have a ton of upgrades. DT 2-4, MLB and nickel are proven upgrades. Plus year 2 in the system for DEs, OLBs. Ngata is a proven run D upgrade and a good pass rusher.

This Oline can be good. Healthy Reiff, Waddle and Warford have proven alot in this league. Swanson and Laken have talent. Swanson has proven some things at center. Same with Man Ram at center and guard.

Calvin and Tate are great weapons. Stafford is a good QB. Proven. Bell is proven solid

Ebron and Abdullah are the only questions but there is a ton of talent wit those two.

2014 I was right. 2011 I was right. 2012 and 2013 was not assessable due to massive injuries to weapons and secondary both years. I'm 2/2. 3/3 as we all said improvement to mediocre in 2010. 3/3.

top 5 defense and top 10 offense in 2015. 12-4 season. Even with top 10 defense and top 15 offense Lions could win 12 games.

How in the hell are DT, MLB and nickel CB "proven" upgrades??

Do you not know what the word proven means?

Let me help you?

Proven - to establish the truth or genuineness of, as by evidence or argument:

There is ZERO evidence and you have made NO argument.......therefore it cannot be "proven" that those spots are upgrades.

Tulloch back. Missed 12.5 games. Wilson and Diggs over Vaughn/Carey/Gorrer for most of the season. Wilaon and Tulloch are proven.

DT 2-4 are upgrades. Walker matched Fairley's production in same snaps. Walker will play 16, Fairley played 7.5. Reid year 2 over rookie Reid. And Reid is looking beastly. And Wright is a better pass rusher with better skillset than Mosley. DT 2-4 upgraded. Walker is proven, year 2 is proven and Wright's skillset is clearly better.

Ngata is a better run defender than Suh. Proven

DES and OLBS and starting CBs and safeties in year 2 of the system Big upgrade. Year 2>year 1. Proven

SAM LB is also upgraded with Whitehead/Van Noy over Palmer. Proven with the low bar set by Palmer and Whiteheads and Van Noy's talent.

Lions have made huge upgrades on defense. They will be a slam dunk top 5 defense. If you never heard of Suh and just looked at the Lions current D on paper, you should say top 5 defense.

You guys have PROVEN that you have no eye for talent. You underrate our defense again and fail to recognize in year 2 of the offense, the Lions talent can finally shine with health weapons and offensive line.

Lions have improved. Not all teams improve.

Packer got worse especially on defense and won't have the incredible health they had last year, Bears, Raiders, Rams still suck, Cards/Seattle and San Fran all lost their DC and some talent. Eagles got worse. KC and San Diego around the same mediocre. Lions much better than both of them. Denver got worse with weapons and Oline. Saints about even adding defense but losing Graham.

Lions, Vikings, Bears, Raiders only improved teams IMO on our schedule. But Bears/Raiders still suck like I said. Saints/Chargers/KC evened out. Everyone else got worse (especially NFC West, Packers, Eagles and Denver).

LKP, what you just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response, were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

What I said is logical and made sense. Shut your mouth Billy Madison.

actually, Walker has proven that he is inferior to Fairley and Ngata is inferior to Suh. Van Noy is the definition of unproven since he hasn't played much. Year 2 of a system with a bunch of players that don't have much experience in it could mean a decline (especially when by far the best defensive player on the team is now gone).

Overall, the Lions defense will be worse than it was last year.

Walker proved to be just as good. Very good pass rush grade for Walker in same snaps. Walker proved to stay healthy too unlike Fairley. Both Ngata and Walker are good pass rushers fact. DT 3-4 upgraded big time with pass rushers too. DE will be better in year 2. Webster year 2. SAM upgraded for blitzing. Lions will have more pressure in 2015 than 2014. It's obvious we upgraded our pass rush.

Lions defense will be better than last year. Upgrades and year 2 devlopment everywhere.

It's a slam dunk top 5 defense with more pass rush and better coverage and eqaul run defense.

And like I said, 11 teams on our schedule got worse. Lions improved, Vikings improved. Bears, Raiders improve from low bar but still suck.

The run defense will not be as good. 3.2 YPC and 69.3 Yards per game which were both #1 in the NFL will both be worse next year.

It might be.....but Ngata is no slouch and Reid looks to be improved. Fairley was nothing special against the run.

I don't think we'll be as good either......but we wont be worse by much, IMO. I'll say 3.6 and 84.0....which would both still be a very good numbers for a run defense.
