Trade Deadline Deals thread for Tigers

Yup, been down that road. Same with some other posters that no longer post here.

You go out of your way to comment on my posts. I have ignored the crap out of you for over 2 years now. Yes, it has been 2 years. You still cannot leave it alone. You are not the innocent party here, neither is Booger. And it is posters like Thumb that left that were the result of trolling and personal attacks done by you.

Leonys Martin to the Indians for Willi Castro

21-year-old middle infielder that can't hit or get on base.

Martin is headed to the Indians for shortstop prospect Willi Castro, according to multiple persons with knowledge of the situation. The Tigers are also sending right-hander Kyle Dowdy to Cleveland.

Castro, 21, is hitting .245 with five home runs and 39 RBIs for Double-A Akron this season. The Tigers have focused on beefing up their middle-infield presence in the minor leagues.

Castro was ranked as Cleveland's #8 prospect

Looks like the kid has been 2+ years younger than the average age at every stop so far. Last year as a 20 year old he slashed .290/.337/.424/.761 in 123 games at high A ball. 11 homers too. That?s not horrible. Struggling at AA this year, but I?m sure he?s an upgrade to middle infield depth in the system. No idea on defense though.

Tigers needs to beef up there Major league middle-infield presence!

Looking at his stats he plays all 3 OF positions, including CF. Probably a better fit. Platoon him in CF with Jones.

"Platoon him in CF with Jones" ; our hard hitting .208, 8 homerun, At least 7 of his 8 HR's have come in wins. Jones needs to hit more often and more homeruns! Well he needed to do that before this trade. Staying off the high, higher ones out of the zone would help!

I didn't say it was a good platoon
