Trade Rumors Castellanos to Cubs, Greene to Braves - signs with the Reds now Phillies

I am getting the feeling that the only guys that are going to get dealt are Nick and Green

With Stroman going to the Mets ( still have no idea why either team did that deal ) the Yanks are gonna be getting desperate ....cough cough BOYD !!

Cubs bullpen giving away games left and right. In 10.2 innings Kimbrel has a 6.75 ERA with 4HR and 8BB. Greene seems like a good fit there, plus we've traded with them in the past few years. Get it done AA!

I've also had Cubs fan friends tell me they heard they were interested in Nick. I just don't see where he slots in with Shwarburger in LF. Would be the worse defense in MLB with those 2 bozos out there.

The Blue Jays were looking for strong pitching prospect back in any deal. The Yankees were unwilling to part with Garcia and most other targeted teams do not have strong pitching prospects or were unwilling to give them up for Stroman. The Blue Jays received what they thought was the best available deal.

The Mets now control the starting pitching market. The have Wheeler, Syndergaard and now Stroman they can deal for any team vying for Starting Pitching. There is also no love lost between the Mets and Yankees and this absolutely puts a deeper divide between them. Anyone one of Wheeler, Syndergaard or Stroman have more value and upside than Boyd.

Market isn't very active, two days before deadline, Avila will end up settling for a bag of cannon fodder balls

Every day that Avila wouldn't come down in price is now gonna cost him. Every day a new team decides to sell. Two weeks ago Detroit controlled the market, not the case anymore.

The mets farm system was/is a joke . The 2 "prospects" the Jays got are hot garbage . Terrible deal , they could have gotten at least 1 top 100 prospect , this is the kind of brain dead deal i'm terrified the Tigers are gonna make .

2nd part , nope . Only Thor is better

The guys who write for TigsTown. Long time Tigers minor leagues guys Mark Anderson and Paul Wezner.

gotcha. The article above was just some fan. It really sounded like it too...very unrealistic idea of what return Boyd should get.
