Training Camp News

The guy clearly sucked and was a huge bust but good for him for being smart.

The guy clearly got hurt three times in a row but showed promise his rookie year after a very very productive college career. Broyles showed good things in pre-season too. Ross is a ST guy and got the active spot. Fuller is a deep threat.

Don't care if it's Moore, Jones, Broyles or Fuller stepping up or some combo of any of them.

like I said....he sucked for the Lions and was a bust.

No, it was a horrible pick at the time. A slot receiver in the 2nd round coming off an ACL injury? A year after drafting ANOTHER similar receiver in the SAME ROUND the prior year??

Ryan Broyles was a horrible pick, any way you want to slice it.

People recover all the time from ACL injuries. Another ACL and achilles is super bad luck.

Burleson was old. Smart to pick Broyles late 2nd.

It was a good pick that didn't work out due to injuries.

Nah, it was a bad pick because it was a bad pick. Move on from this. Not everything Mayhew does is gold. Ryan Broyles was a HORRIBLE pick in 2012 from the 2nd round.

Just like with Jahvid Best, you take a giant risk on a player coming off a serious injury. These risks backfired and it's on him.

Yes you do take a risk at pick 30 trading up swapping 4th round position and giving up a 7th.. Lions needed RB speed talent. Best played many games in a row before anohter concussion.

Best was a great pick too.

You should care it was injuries. He was good then injured.

He was never good in the NFL. He was injured a lot, but it's impossible to say he was good NFL player because there is nothing to prove it.

He was a good college player. You know who can say that. Essentially everyone who has ever been in the NFL. Guy is a bust, not worth the 2nd rounder.

So with any risk, if the outcome fails, it's on that person. It's not a free pass.

All GMs take risk in Round 2 and beyond. Best and Broyles worth the injury risk. Injury risk happens. It's football. They were good picks. Mayhew can't control injuries.

And with Bush for 2013/Abdullah and Tate. Who the hell cares anymore what picks didn't work out due to injuries. Mayhew kept and reloaded the talent.

This is like going to vegas, putting all your money on black, it coming red and being like... Well it was a good decision because if it was black I would of won. It was just bad luck, still great decision because I had a chance to double my money.
