Vs. Purdue

Just got back from the game (left at half time, the rain was just too much). What a dominant performance in the first half. What in the world happened??

Edit: LJ Scott is a grown man...how is that kid 18?

The problem with this team all season has been motivation. It seems like the offense is holding back big time. The conservative approach is annoying and needs to change. Let cook throw it deep for Gods sake!

Michigan puffing their chest is beautiful. Those tears come October 17th will be even more beautiful.

Be careful jumping back on the bandwagon guys

I'm just goofing with Johnny. He has been such an outlandish smack talker on the Michigan boards for years that his post that I quoted was amusing.

And I'm also not jumping back on anything; I've been on board and suffering all along.

That wasn't even directed at you. That was for the guys that have jumped off our bandwagon after a 5-0 start.

Oh.

In that case yeah, I don't think you should let Johnny just jump right back on after what he posted in post 35 on this thread.

Not me (if its directed at me), just being honest and to say we have underperformed is an understament. Nothing worse than a "ra ra ra" guy that doesnt see obvious problems when they are utterly apparent.

I'm sure everyone has seen the problems. I'm just not gonna let it drive me nuts after a win.

This team jumps out early against subpar opponents, gets comfortable and let's them back in. I think the Michigan game will tell us a lot about the team. They just seem to play down to their opponent. I am curious how they will play against better competition.

The one statement I agree with on this thread.

Yeah, we were up really big in our last 3 opponents and then just took a nap. Get healthy and okay 4 quarters and who knows.

If you want to see conservative play calling watch the OSU vs Indianca game...wow Urban either has no trust in Jones or he believes running on 3rd and 10 is a good idea!

It almost feels as though OSU and MSU are sleepwalking through their schedule. No motivation shown by either team..

Tressell Ball. Playing not to turn it over. It's crazy painful to watch.

watching the Florida - Ole Miss game tonight makes me miss the defense we had in 2013. Florida defense is dancing, playing with swagger and emotion. We've lost that over the last two years...

1. MSU is still undefeated. At the end of the day, that is the most important stat for Spartan fans, as it should be. Congrats on the win and hopefully the only loss MSU has this year is vs UM.
2. I am unaware of a single pro-UM fan on this board to whom the label "bandwagon" can be applied, as that label means they would have abandoned UM in favor of another team. That isn't to say we were pleased with where the program went after Carr retired, but no fan of any team should be pleased about that type of situation, but that is not the definition of a bandwagon fan. We still wore UM gear out in public even when RR was the coach.

That isn't to say there aren't any UM "fans" jumping back on the bandwagon that they once jumped off from, I'm just not aware of any who are DSF posters.

Sorry, I should have read the follow up posts.

Still, I'm not aware of anyone who jumped off the MSU bandwagon this year. Seems they are still MSU fans first and foremost but are upset due to the team underperforming, which is reasonable. Not aware of anyone who has dropped MSU in favor of cheering for a different team.
