Ok man, I am glad that you are finally able to admit that your team played dirty. You can't expect to receive respect for such a game plan. Playing hard hitting football is fine. No one has a problem with play like that. Play hard, hit hard, during the play. I respect that. But a dirty game plan of late hits with the intent to injure is not going to get you respect, even when you win. If it only happened once or twice, then it would not be an issue, but it was consistent throughout the game showing that it was the plan. This was particularly apparent when Rush wrapped up Denard well after the pass was thrown and body slammed him putting him out of the game, and then is shown being congratulated on the sidelines by his MSU teammates. There is no place for that. I cannot respect that kind of play or a team that engages and congratulates it. It is thuggary that should not be condoned and deserves no respect. So, if sparty is going to play like that they are not going to be respected, even after a win. It sucks doesn't it? So, let it be a lesson to you sparty. If you play like that you will not be congratulated on winning or given respect.

I have been asking for an explanation of why sparty had to resort to such a dirty game plan and still have not received one from sparty. But in reading the comments I think I understand. Sparty feels that they are disrespected and are going to be disrespected no matter how they play. So, why not play dirty if you believe you are going to be disrepected in the end anyway, whether you win or lose. It is a kind of "little brother" attitude. The problem is that it seems that, like Miami and OSU, sparty has embraced the gangsta image. Even the coaching staff that apparently came up with this dirty game plan. That is too bad. Having grown up in Michigan and loving the state, it is my nature to root for Michigan teams. But I can't root for a team that plays dirty. Playing like that will never earn you the respect that you so desperately seek.

Now, I hope that in next year's game Michigan doesn't resort to dirty play. I guess I could understand it, but I don't think they will. Coach Hoke is too classy a coach for that. I would be really disappointed if Michigan played like that and would not hesitate to call my team out for it. No, next year Michigan will win and play good clean hard hitting football. I hope sparty will watch to see how it is done.
