Would an incidental running into kicker have given wisc a 1st? Or did they call it incidental?

It was only a 5 yard penalty I believe.

Yeah, they just called the 5 yard running into the kicker penalty and that was enough for the first down

Monster [/color]]sad thing for sparty is....do any of you doubt that sparty would have put it in the endzone with that much time left? i don't.

Well, with the return we would have had it inside the Wisky 10.

even without the return. you could have been at your 30 and i would have said you'd score.

It was "incidental. It was 4th and 3 and running into the kicker is a 5 yard penalty. Running into isn't an automatic first down....but in this case the 5 yards resulted in a first down.

Championship - LSU vs. OK St.
Fiesta - Alabama vs. Stanford

Man Belima looks like a total meathead.

How about his postgame interview?!

"Coach, how good does that feel, to hold that championship trophy especially thinking back to when your team was 2-2 in the conference and it looked like they were starting to pack it in?"

"...our kids never stopped wavering in their faith."

WTF?!

Hmm, that play was a tough way to lose, but you have to give Wisky credit we had them on the ropes, but they made some great plays in the end.

Hope they don't give us the Sugar Bowl, don't want tom play a team like TCU.

This has got to be killing you, bro.

No way, did you see that game. WHat a great game and we played great. Stuff like that happens all the time in football and I couldn't be prouder of my team. Tough way to lose, but State just played a great game on a huge stage and did everything but win.

Just couldn't be prouder of the way this team brought it tonight and how hard they fought. Wisky played great too and it's no shame the way they won. Sure the call sucked, but that's OK, I am excited to play a good bowl game and I'm super excited for the team we have coming back next year.

lol boise state. that would be a crazy matchup and help us earn some credibility. i think most people would put boise state as a legit top 10 team...unlike houston.

I don't usually feel bad for a guy and it was his own fault but I feel for the guy who ran into the K.

TCU got an automatic bud I thought?

A non big conference can only gain a bid by finishing in the top 12 of the BCS standings. And if multiple are in top 12, the highest ranked team will make it.

Boise St. ranked 7th
TCU ranked 18th

Has TCU in, did Boise State not win their division? Because you have to be top 16 and win your division for teams like Boise and TCU.

Actually I dnt think they did.

you have to win your conference in order to have an automatic bid unless you are an independent. then you have to be ranked in the top 12 i believe and you get an auto bid. only one non aq school can get an auto bid. if boise gets in it has to be an at large.
