Well lets see what little brother does

Yea your right Boise wont be in, forgot they didnt win their conference.
3. The champion of Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference, the Mountain West Conference, the Sun Belt Conference, or the Western Athletic Conference will earn an automatic berth in a BCS bowl game if either:

A. Such team is ranked in the top 12 of the final BCS Standings, or,
B. Such team is ranked in the top 16 of the final BCS Standings and its ranking in the final BCS Standings is higher than that of a champion of a conference that has an annual automatic berth in one of the BCS bowls.

Actually I dnt think they did.

you have to win your conference in order to have an automatic bid unless you are an independent. then you have to be ranked in the top 12 i believe and you get an auto bid. only one non aq school can get an auto bid. if boise gets in it has to be an at large.

^This...they didn't win their conference, TCU did. So, TCU is in automatically. I think it is BS bc other teams deserve it more, but this is the terrible hand everyone is dealt.

2. Unless they qualify to play in the NCG, the champions of selected conferences are contractually committed to host selected games:

Atlantic Coast Conference-Orange Bowl
Big Ten Conference-Rose Bowl
Big 12 Conference-Fiesta Bowl
Pac-12 Conference-Rose Bowl
Southeastern Conference-Sugar Bowl

Don't they get in based on A?

I think Oklahoma, Georgia and MSU could still be ahead of TCU. So no guarantee they get to 16. I hope not.

THIS IS PERFECT PROOF AS TO WHY THIS FUCKING SPORT NEEDS A PLAYOFF ALREADY!!! You need a Master's Degree to figure out who goes to a BCS bowl game.

They can figure out a complicated formula that involves a million scenarios on who and how qualifies for a BCS game but they can't come up with an 8 or 16 team playoff system.

- TCU will earn BCS bid if it ends up in top 16.
- LSU has NC game bid
- Alabama if not in NC game, will be an at large bid
- OK State if not in NC game will be in Fiesta Bowl (winner of big 12 auto-bid)
- Stanford will be a BCS at large bid (and will get one)
- Oregon and Wisconsin will both be in Rose Bowl (winner of Pac 10 vs. Big Ten winner)
- Clemson has auto bid to the Orange bowl (ACC Winner)
- West Virginia automatically gets BCS berth (for winning Big East, however big east doesn't automatically get put into a specific bowl)

Others teams likely in the top 16 - Kansas State, Houston, Boise State, Arkansas, South Carolina, Michigan, Virginia Tech, and Baylor.

Out of those teams, Arkansas and South Carolina are eliminated because one conference isn't allowed that many bids in BCS. With LSU and Alabama both being in.

Houston and Boise St. like every non AQ (auto qualifiers) won't get chosen for at large. Also Kansas State is not likely to get selection because they stink.

So in this scenario (with TCU being in the top 16, thus getting bid) the three teams left for the one remaining slot are Baylor, Michigan, and Virginia Tech.

yikes. would they take RG3 over Denard?

My guess for final BCS Standings

1. LSU
2. OK State
3. Alabama
4. Stanford
5. Oregon
6. Boise State
7. Arkansas
8. Wisconsin
9. Virginia Tech
10. Kansas State
11. South Carolina
12. Baylor
13. Michigan
14. Houston
15. TCU
16. Clemson
17. Oklahoma

Glad Big Sister is sitting at home watching the big boys play.

Johnny, a Sparty win, or Sparty getting steam rolled is equally good for Michigan to secure a BCS invitation, which is 99% sure now, anyway.

Either is fine with me.

The Sparty getting steam rolled outcome looks more likely right now, though.

Go Blue!!!

Well, we didn't get steam rolled.
