What draft pick from this year will have the biggest impact?

With 650 yards his 2013 rank would be 13th. With 5 TDs his 2013 rank would be 12th.

And given how many weapons we have and the matchups he would draw, that's good. He's a rookie still. I'll expect 750-850 in 2015. Fauria is the TD man.

Tony, what part of my comment had anything to do with "wanting this to happen?" Forgive me for being incredibly pessimistic about them, they have done nothing to succeed at the professional level, have ruined sporting Sunday's for thousands upon thousands of fans, and have continued to draft a fantasy football team on offense. Sorry for not being part of the regular masses that gets all giddy after a draft pick and FA, and has renewed hope. I'm not going to be excited about them until they show they have what it takes to win. I will always watch, but I have become 100% apathetic towards them. An 0-16 year will do that. Followed by not winning the weakest the NFC North has been in an eternity by displaying one of the biggest choke jobs I can remember.

You can guarantee that when Sunday rolls around I'll be wearing the Honolulu blue, as I've done for 28 years (yes, since a baby). I'm just so f'ing sick of the excuse makers for Stafford. The guy has done nothing for the Lions other than waste talent, and make others around him have to work harder to catch his crap (hence the terrible QB rating after 5 years). All people do is make excuses for this team. And LKP, don't give me that scorned crap to talk about the Lions. They are the worst franchise in sports. The fact that their failures haven't drained you of energy scares me.

I'm just tired. I'm exhausted. This team used to mentally crush my Sundays. They have found the most ridiculous ways to lose over and over again. I can't count how many times I've heard an announcer say, "Well, this is a career high for X player" while playing the Lions. When you take a beating constantly from this franchise, it's hard for me to not be nothing but apathetic and pessimistic. Someday they'll restore my faith in an NFL franchise, but it'll probably be when I'm long gone.

Scorned and butt hurt. And it's clouding your judgment on the 2014 outlook. Carry on.

Well hopefully it doesn't rain outside when the Lions are on the road, or you can bet your boy will be going on one of those classic 0/9 quarters. Or snow in one half but not the other and the team forgets to bring the right cleats. Or the wind doesn't pick up when Stafford's arm is going through the air, but slows down right after.

That's silly to expect him to do that every time. Especially considering he was making plays. 0/9 was far from his fault. I'd say 1 maybe 2 throws were Staffords fault in that when you watch the tape. Drop city by his backup weapons in Riddick, Ogletree, and Ross.

Haha yep. Only the people that say that don't realize only about 2 TEs per year on average since 2002 have had 900 yards or more. They want Ebron top 2 instantly.

cause no idiot GM in their right minds picks a TE that hes going to use strictly as WR in the top 10 if they thought he was only going to get 500 yards. Hes not even that fast....running a 4.6. Sooooo if you want me to compare him to other TEs that were picked in the top 10 like Vernon davis who ran a 4.38 and produces on the field for a team that is a perennial playoff team. Then this fucker better get more than 500 yards or it was yet another gem of a dumb pick by mayhem.

you do realize you are arguing with a guy that says broyles is going to produce EVERY year, right? lmao.

Broyles can produce if healthy. He was the all time receptions leader for NCAA for goodness sake. That shows talent and durability to do that. Nobody can foresee a separate ACL and achilles injury.

Playoff predictions were justified. They made the playoffs in 2011, so 2012 isn't far fetched predicting them when they made it the year before. Best went through OTAS and Delmas was supposed to play. They didn't and the DEs fell off a cliff that year. 2013 they had a great offseason and were better than their 2012 record. They underachieved (due to turnovers), which means the playoffs was the correct prediction for their talent. So I was right.

Lions as a whole are more talented than Seattle. Seattle only wins in the secondary if you go position by position, that's it. QB, RB (depth), WR, TE,Oline,Dline,LB the Lions win all of those matchups. Seattle is still are very good in other positions just, not as good as the Lions. Seattle put it together so kudos to them but this year could be very different in the playoffs.

Ok lets compare him to Vernon. No more than 500 yards his first 3 years. Now shut it hughes. You clearly don't know anything about TE production.

But I thought Delmas sucked?? How does him not playing suddenly hurt the team? Quote from one of your earlier threads:

"Addition by subtraction."

Whoops.

No whoops. It was unknown going into 2012 how he would recover from the injury. So you make the prediction based on 2011 Delmas play. Delmas didn't recover well and it slowly hurt his play. Delmas had run support issues. Ihedigbo is a huge upgrade there and with the blitz. Ihedigbo is a down grade in overall coverage but he won't make the big mistakes Delmas did in coverage. Delmas would have great plays and then some real bad ones. Ihedigbo won't wow you but won't make big mistakes.

so what you are telling us is a TE like Davis (who is more of an athletic freak than Ebron) took 3 years to surpass 650 yards? Or are you telling us that his poor production was due to an offense that never throws the ball?

Ebron is a freak too. And he will get more targets with a much better QB. 650 is about right considering Davis had 500.

Ebron is more of an athlete. His measurables were off the charts on Sports Science.

Sports Science could make me look like the fastest keyboarder in the world. "Look at him type, with his finger's 0.002 CM from each key stroke, arm angle at 49 degrees from the desk, and legs 90 degrees in a perfect right angle to the floor."

So you're disageeeing then? Ebron had like the best measurables ever for a TE on the show since Tong G i believe.

Ebron is clearly a freak athlete. Anyone who disagrees is just being a moron to argue.
