They will probably want Pettigrew also.

Get StartedMaybe we trade Matt straight up for Rogers. We can throw in Mathis for free.
If Rogers came to the Lions, do you honestly think Lombardi would be capable of calling successful plays? I think Rogers would be an absolute bottom feeder as a Lion solely because the anti-Vince is a master at setting up players for failure.
Treadwell is a beast, but coming off of a terrible injury
The problem isn't Stafford, It's the offensive line. He doesn't have time to look for a receiver & the running game has been nonexistent. The way to build a winning team is to start with the line first. They need an OT.
Blame the OL year after year.. That'll do it. He's not to be fully blamed but damn skippy he makes his fair share of dumb shit throws. Even when the OL gives him time.
The times the offensive line does their job are too far and in between, the guy is running for his life out there. If only the offensive line would let Stafford know in the huddle that they are going to do their jobs on the upcoming play, maybe Stafford would calm down and make a big throw, lol. The offensive line is what is holding this team back this year, maybe (probably)more than Lombardi is
4 years in a row, too late to blame the OL. Do you actually think Matt would be better if the OL was better? OL better last season, Matt same. 2013, OL even better, Matt same. One constant, Matt.
Put him behind a truly good oline, I absolutely think he'd be much better. Maybe we'll find out one day when he leaves detroit
It's not like we can just dump Stafford after this year boys. If we had anything close to a starter in the bullpen, it might make sense. We have nothing. So draft one this year, and give him time to develope BEHIND Stafford. You guys act like a rookie qb is the answer and that booting Stafford is the cure. If we cut ties with Stafford, what's saying that his replacement is automatically better than him? What if he's worse than Stafford, or much worse? A new qb is not the answer boys, a respectable offensive line might be though.
He's had better blocking in the past, and he still didn't shine. He's a one-year wonder.
There is zero harm in drafting a QB in the draft. Zero. Almost every team seems to take a flyer on 5th, 6th round QBs even if their situation is all set. Why not use a 2nd, 3rd rounder on someone? It's not like our drafts ever pan out anyways.
Staffords starting here at least this and next year
Staffords starting here at least this and next year
Doesn't take it away the fact he still stinks. Many QB's have to play in a new system yet do well. It's the biggest excuse ever. And the dumbest.. He grades poorly. He wouldn't be the first to be a one year wonder.
Another Matt over in Atlanta where people compare him to Stafford has a new coach and system and he's lighting it up.
Get over it, Matt ain't getting better - even with an all pro OL.
