Xanders interviewing for Dolphins GM opening

Lol we get a semblance of decent players and everything else goes to shit. I need another bowl of cheerios. :-/

Thanks for your speedy database. Mayhew as always, making the selections

How, after the way this coaching search went, does anyone not think Mayhew is a huge assclown.

Maybe we'll get lucky and the Caldwell hiring results in a total house cleaning a couple years from now.

We don't know how much Mayhew was allowed to offer, the location is Detroit and I think sticking with a 4-3 is the right call (was a huge issue).

Nothing ass clown about Mayhew. Wasn't a fit for Whiz. Caldwell has exactly the same qualities as Whiz with more experience with the same if not better results.

That's the last point, only interview guys who got fired for being terrible as a HC. Fk, lol.

They gassed up a plane for him. They trumpeted his name in the media like he was Vince Lombardi. They were BFFs. Then they panic hire the first guy they interview, who was never a likely candidate wouldn't sniff an offer from other teams just to clear their sour palette. It's not about Caldwell (As Grandy said earlier, who as an aside is becoming my favorite poster, no one has had a history of success here, so one stiff is as good as the next). But the process has made us a laughing stock again. This seeps down to the players who become Lionized to their prospects in a vicious and seemingly never ending cycle.

You go to the next guy on the list. They had a backup plan that was vetted. Caldwell was their second choice.

Who cares what the fuck they gassed up? Whiz said no due to location, possilby money and the 4-3/3-4 debate. All understandable, all not really the Lions fault other than money.

Money? That's your excuse? Whose fault is it they had no money to spend on a new coach in the first place? The toolbelts that gave Gym Shorts Belichick money after a ten and six wildcard exit? And who goes for the bargain buy when addressing the head coaching position? If you have your guy you go get him, he pays you back in season ticket holders and merch. He probably smelled desperation by Calvin Klein on Mayhew and balked.

Schwartz deserved an extension at the time. And money to offer is up to the Fords/Lewand, not Mayhew. Mayhew is the football fit part of it. Caldwell fits.
