Young and broyles

Young was a perfect 9 for 9 with targets and receptions today. Hopefully this is the game he needs to motivate him going forward. Also I hated to see the Burleson injury but with Broyles out there he provides that same safety net with more explosiveness in my mind.

atleast were playing them now. i guess you can thank nate for that. not linehan.

The guys with football knowledge knew that these two kids were special. They were studs in college and their game in the NFL should be top notch.

Wait so if you throw the ball to WRs they are more likely to get catches and make plays......lol

i wonder if titus youngs problem was just being lower on progressions on routes?...its no secret that stafford doesn't get deep into progressions..idk..its good to see the young guys do something...nate burleson isn't really a wide receiver anymore..he's like..a checkdown runningback..all of his receptions it seemed were around the line of scrimmage and more yards after the catch...i can't think of too many times where nate actually ran a route down the field and had a play..lol...now we have some guys...who can run a route or two..and stafford has to use them as options..

I think he goes through all his progressions a lot. Just at times he needs to get rid of the ball sooner.

Hate to say it, but Nate going down could be the best thing to happen to the team this season. There is no way linehan is getting fired when players are messing up enough to deflect all the blame. There was also no way that young was gonna jump nate this year for the number two spot.

Young has a b@tch-@ss attitude when it comes to him not getting many targets, so him being gifted the 2nd spot is good for the team as far as his work ethic, and him as well with it satisfying his ego. I am glad he finally showed up though. If him and broyles play like this for most/all season i wonder what's gonna happen to nate. Besides the leadership he's looking painfully expendable.

Wish our coach would have seen it. They finally get to play due to nates injury and NOW we get a decent consistent passing attack vs a good defense. Only about 7 weeks too late.

Broyles has looked great so far. I was really impressed with Young for once too. He finally looks like he's playing smarter and at 100% effort. The guy has loads of talent, but tends to disappear or make stupid penalties. Maybe is the first game to start putting that junk behind him for a while. I hope so anyways.

People wanted Titus gone like a week ago and now he's the savior ;-) People hated Broyles in the 2nd round and now he's consistent ;-)

i said if you werent going to use him then i didnt understand why you wouldnt look to trade Titus for secondary help....to be honest i still would if it meant we got a starting calibur Safety or CB. I also said i didnt understand why youd draft broyles in rd 2 just so you can bench him. then POOF....they play them both and they produce. If youre going to give them both playing time and utilize their talents then i have no issues with either of them being on the team. But prior to nates injury that wasnt the case.

Tough call. I think they realized what they had in Broyles and Young. The problem was, they were not kicking Burleson (a 10 year vet) to the curb right away. Broyles WAS drafted for the future. It was explained at nauseum. Now, we get a chance to see this kid earlier than expected and he's doing well.

Madden changed Titus Young from a 74 to 77. Yeah.

I've been in Titus's corner from day one....I was not thrilled with where Broyles was drafted considering his injury, but was not against him overall....really thought corner should have been addressed first. I loved both Boise boys coming out and thought our only shot was at Pettis. T.D. Young Sr. is my man!

Agreed. I liked pettis coming out in later rounds and wanted secondary or oline help early. Orlando Franklin, ijalana were some of the oline names i liked early 2nd rd over the years. I dont care how many ppl call me an idiot. Wasting high round pick after high round pick on the likes of best, leshoure, young, broyles....is fucking retarded. They could turn out to be all pros for all i care.....the concept will still be fucking retarded when you have as many holes as we do and you consistently fail to fill them via free agency or the draft.

Be nice to Hughes..

Lol i never said he was a savior. I still think hes a hot head heap of trash. Im not a flip flopper lol. Id trade him in a second for a starting calibur safety or cb....same thing ive said all year. Haven't liked the pick since the second he was drafted.
