#16 Michigan @ #7 Penn State

You guys heard the new Bizzy Bone, Krayzie Bone, and Kevin Gates albums? Good as fuck.

Basketball.

I'm not quite done with football yet. I suppose I'll see you at the crossroads.

It's over. There's nothing attainable at this point other than pride. I'll watch. But without any passion. I was actually pretty excited tonight. That's it for me.

Looking forward to basketball. A program that wins stuff.

I'll tune in for ND/MSU/OSU. The stars will have to align for me to watch Maryland/Indiana. The latter two games will frustrate me more than any loss because I'll have to watch people justify an inflated win total because of those games.

I hear ya

It sure is Frustrating but Jim just can?t win any big games. Guess we get a bunch of new linemen next season and a new qb. Time to get them some experience with the season lost like this. We were sold a bill of goods by Jim. He was sold a bill of goods on the phone by Gattis. While the stats look impressive tonight the offense only finished 3 drives . Yes bell should fished the 4th but he didn?t. Plus While Brown?s defense gave the offense plenty of chances it also gave up 28 points, and to many big long plays. Just not good enough in year 5 .

Shit Alabama punt returner looks light years faster then DPJ. Is Dpj still hurt?

I feel terrible for Ronnie Bell. It cant be easy knowing your drop lost the game after such a great comeback.

Yep, and it was obvious that he felt horrible. Hard to make some great plays like he did last night, but last night will be remembered for the one he failed to make.

I don't blame anyone on our team for this loss - players or staff.

There were some shit calls that went against us on huge downs (even the announcing crew noted them, not just Michigan fans), and Ronnie Bell flubbed what should've been the tying TD.

They played their hearts out, and deserved to win; outplayed Penn State on the road.

I like our chances from here on out a lot better than I did before this game.

I agree. I think the team grew up or grew together last night.

Hard to lay the blame on any one spot, like I said in the other thread. You can blame the playcalling, but the 5 dropped passes, shows that if the receivers catch those passes, the plays were there to be made. People will, of course, lay the blame on the QB, but I think that is just the easy thing to do. When teams lose, people always seem to point at the QB. After any incompletion, there are some fans begging for the QB on the bench to come in and that QB will surely show us that he is the better QB from there. I thought there were some tough calls that went against Michigan. You get that in most big road games, though. The plays were there for them to overcome the bad calls, so I won't blame the ref.

Not saying that I am happy with a loss or that I'd ever be happy with a loss. The game being so close at the end, makes this one sting even more.

I told people that I talk to all week that it would be a tough, close game that would be decided late in the 4th quarter.

I was calling for Shea to get benched because it seemed after every setback(the bad penalties, dropped passes), he would get rattled. Something happened to him during the game. I dont know what, but it was almost like he said fuck it. He stayed in the pocket as long as he could without bailing, he was making the right read, he bailed when we needed some 1st downs, his passes were sharp. He looked every bit what I thought he would be from day 1. I hope he finishes out the rest of the year the way yesterday ended. Yesterday stung and still stings, but Im proud of the way the team never gave up. We go to overtime, we win.

So, I've done the math. Penn St has to lose to MSU and OSU. OSU has to lose to Wisconsin and Michigan for Michigan to win the division. It will give everyone 2 losses but it will give Michigan tie breaker over PSU because of 2 losses in division and 1 loss for UM. Michigan would have tie breaker over OSU because of head to head and 1 loss for both in division. Doubtful, but this is our only chance. Win out and see how it unfolds.

Remember division losses are different than conference losses

Same odds as Kate Beckinsale and Salma Hayek calling up my wife to successfully talk her into a foursome.

What I learned about watching M-PSU: (10 things)
1. It?s a game.
2. James Franklin is a stand-up guy.
3. Shea Patterson has more sand than I suspected.
4. Zack Charbonnet was underutilized.
5. Safeties are not built to cover laser-fast WRs with a chip on their shoulder, especially when they jog.
6. Penn State fans are very, very, very odd people.
7. I want to take a lead pipe to the head of the Nittany Lion mascot. Like Robert DiNiro did to that poor sap at the round table.
8. 58-yard field goals are rare in CFB, especially from Michigan kickers. Gregg Willner tried one once (I think it was 56 yards) and it looked like Martini throwing the basketball against the fence in One Flew Over the Coocoo?s Nest.
9. The spent timeout was a baffling play. Clearly he made the first down. Probably would not have mattered, but, still, prolong the game at all costs.
10. gotime, I expect, has not made the transition to manhood, no matter his age.
