2016 Draft- Who ya got?

Blaming Stafford for this year is just crazy. I'm going to wait until next year before I jettison Stafford. This conversation is a lost cause until no earlier than this time next year, when there are no warranted excuses. I'm done with this for now, because there's no point. The Lions will not draft a qb in the draft.

Who's blaming him for this year? He's partly to blame with just about everyone else. But this is about 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

You think excuses are just going to stop after 7 years? How in the heck will the 8th year be better?

Face it, Matt is average, inconsistent, non-efficient QB. I'm not just making that up.

I'm not making this argument FOR Stafford......but there are numerous QB's that made big leaps in their 5th....6th....7th years.

Brady was 7 years in before he was more than a high 80's rated QB
Elway was 10 years in before he was more than average statistically
Drew Brees
.........

It happens.

Maybe it won't with Stafford ( to be honest it doesn't seem like it).....but even some of the great ones get better after a number of years.

Actually Brady, he had two good years before he fell a little, and then a great year. Brees, by year 8 .. 2 over 90 and two just barely misses. And I'm not counting year 1 since he played so little. Elway is different, along time go .. most of those QB's didn't have high passer ratings (different game).

So Brady and Bree's, had more consistent years through year 7. Matt, 1 year above 90 and nothing at high 80's, only mid. I'm not sure what you're looking at to be honest.

Brady was top 10 every year of his career but 1. You are comparing different times. Brady's first few years high 80s low 90s was good. Now with how easy it is to play QB 80s doesn't cut it.

Stafford has been top 15 1 year.

The last couple years have been the year of no excuses. By this time there are always plenty of excuses on why he can't do his job. It is always someone else. No QB has perfection around him.

Stafford owns a large majority of his poor play. Just look at the interception thrown to Pettigrew against KC. Couldn't be a much easier throw and he blew it. Every game we watch a QB make a few plays against us that turn into huge gains or TD s. Every game we watch Stafford make a few plays that kill drives, end drives or take sure points off the board.

CJ behind the defense should be a TD. It's either under thrown or over thrown. We've seen both recently. With with clean pockets and time.

Another thread derailed. It's going to be a long season.

Yep.I think I'm going to make a promise to myself.. Don't talk about anything that doesn't fit. Now if we all do this threads will be on point.

If you are going to talk about drafting a QB. Stafford should be part of the topic.
