Watching the senior bowl today and there is about ten DTs with first round grades. I haven't seen one in the Aarond Donald caliber of players though. I think if you want to go with a Pats style draft you either trade back if you can or grab DTs in rounds 2 and 3. The guy you get in the 2nd will have a first round grade.

His "understanding" of it means he can see what they (Lombardi and Caldwell) were TRYING to accomplish with the pick. Clearly, they failed.

It doesn't mean he thinks Ebron is great.

Exactly!!! I never like the pick, but Lombardi wanted to build an offense around an athletic TE. That guy happened to be Ebron. So, I wasn't going to sit here and bash everything that Ebron did or didn't do. I got on board....oh well.
As for the pick failing? Has it? I don't think he's worth a top 10 pick, but he showed improvement in his 2nd year. He just needs to keep working harder and harder. Doesn't matter though....whatever the kid does will be a total failure anyways no matter what lol.

#1 Taylor Decker: If he is still there, you gotta take this big guy. Will come right in and start. Could still be on board at 16.


#2 Shilique Calhoun: This guy can flat out play football. I love this guy.


#3 Jack Conklin: Another guy that could come in and start game 1.

Now if Calvin retires, do you nab Treadwell if he is there? Not if Decker is still on the board. We have to protect our QB.

Calhoun might even be there when the 2nd pick comes around, but I love the way he gets after the QB.

I doubt Treadwell is still there at 16. Gotta go o-line first round, imo. I think whether Calvin is back or not we do need a WR, just wait until the 2nd or 3rd, plenty of depth there in this draft.
