2016 Draft- Who ya got?

Thats the thing. ..games aren't even fun to watch. It's like we're watching an Ill prepared Thursday night game every week lol. Crushed vs ari. Offensive mess vs min. It's not even quality football. Caldwell should be gone....hes an awful coach. Fuck you tony dungy.

Usually I watch every single second of a football game if it's Lions/Wolverines. I don't think I've ever actually quit a game and not come back after a few minutes of trying to calm down. Hell, I watched every single minute of 0-16, but today...today did it. We went down three scores, I said "Fuck it!" and then changed the channel. Didn't even know what the final score was until a few minutes ago. I don't think I've ever been so frustrated with a team in my entire life.

I'm 42, and been a Lions fan for 38 years of that. One time in all those years, the 1991 season, did I believe this team had a realistic shot at winning a championship.

Being a Lions fan, seasons like this come with the turf. There are more bad years than good.

The only thing that gives me any consolation is that one year, we will win the SuperBowl. If Tampa Bay did, we will. And when we do, the party won't stop for 8 months.

There is not one thing about this organization that leads me to believe that they will win a SB in the next 50 years. NOT ONE!

Sad thing is i wrote that BEFORE today's game lol

Well, it looks like we've got a darned good shot at the #1 pick.

So, who is the best TE coming out of college next year?

Laquan Treadwell, Vernon Hargreaves III and Tyler Matakevich are my some of my favourite college players this year. I think Hargreaves is a future All Pro.

Give me QB Paxton Lynch. Turn this shit show inside out and burn it to the ground. IMO he's the best QB coming out. He has all the tools to be great. Not running a pro style offense in college doesn't bother me one bit....he's a stud.
Let him sit on the sidelines for a year and learn the game. It's the only way to do it...

Watch the offense and remember to do the exact opposite.

Yeah, I think Lynch should be the pick. It's not worth taking Treadwell #1. May as well get the expansion process started.

I want to sit and see where Connor Cook is slotted to go. He reminds me a LOT of Ruthlessraper.......Rapelessburger.......uh......Big Ben. If Cook looks like he might be there later first......I go LT.

Id take Tunsil.....LT......Ole Miss. Move Reiff to the right side. It's like getting two picks in one. LT is upgraded and RT is massively upgraded. Waddle is a solid 3rd T.....but not a good starter.

Then, do whatever it takes to get Connor Cook. Keep Stafford for another year as Cook sits. Bring in a PROVEN QB teacher with a good track record to help Cook learn.

Then ALL DEFENSE the rest of the draft. CB, S, DE, DT......you name it.....we need it.....so BPA on the defensive side of the ball is fine with me. So many holes to fill the position drafted almost makes no difference.

Sad, really.

Plan B.

Cook at the top of the draft......Jack Conklin, LT, MSU in the 2nd (if he's there). Does that make me a Spartan homer?

Yes. But those two also have talent.

I'm leaning towards LT with our 1st rounder and Trade for Jimmy Garoppolo for our second.

I disagree, we can wait another year on a qb, waiting on a wr is crazy. Treadwell is going to be a stud, no idea what Lynch will do. I've seen a lot of people talk about him (Lynch), and it alway seems to end with people bit ching about how slow of a release he has. He'd grow on me, I'm sure, I just don't see qb as a glaring need right now. In fact, I think I'm reaching at saying Treadwell is an immediate need as well. Let's face it, OLINE is our biggest need, it's just not as fun to conversate about, lol. If we were a smart organization, we'd be drafting oline, dline, secondary, and lbers in this draft. The oline is clearly broken, and void of talent. We've got 2 young guards that deserve another year or so to develop, but the rest can go tomorrow for all I care.

On the list of things that this team needs, a WR is about #10, especially overall at #1.

A QB is a glaring need. This guy can't get it done. And typically when you overhaul a franchise from top to bottom and gut everything, a new QB is the first order of business.

Once again, I disagree. Oline first I how you build an offense. You put a qb behind a terrible oline, he will not play well. Which is what Stafford has played behind his entire career.

good teams are built through the trenches. The OL is the biggest weakness on this team. They will also need help on the DL and in the secondary.

What they really need is another matchup nightmare...that will fix things!

I agree with this...Oline is never the 'sexy' pick, but the bust rate is MUCH MUCH lower with Oline man than with QB's, and the payout can be huge.

I think you draft the best LT on the board, shift Reiff over to RT, and hope for the best.

QB should be addressed, but Im thinking more in the 3rd/4th round.

See, I don't fully agree with that. It goes both ways. There are plenty of QBs who have crap O-lines and make it work. If Lynch turns out to be a franchise changer, take him.

And if he struggles mightily? We wasted another year or three in denile, thinking it was mostly Stafford.

look at Luck right now. His OL has been terrible for his entire career but the Colts keep adding "weapons". It just doesn't work in the long run if you have a shit OL. Take care of the OL first

Any new QB is going to struggle mightly. How would it be any different than the guy we have out there now? You can still draft around him later in the draft. It really looks like the QB talent falls off a cliff after the first couple. I don't know how the O-line shapes up.

Remember, we just used a 1st round pick on an O-lineman this past draft, also Swanson and Reiff in the last few years. Either its a scheme, coaching, or the QB is doing nothing for them.

Though yesterdays game is an anomaly....look at the GB vs. Denver game. Rodgers with 77 yds?? 77!!!!! Aaron Rodgers!!!

He had NO time. None. He had open guys.....but couldn't get them the ball. Build oline first......much more of a sure thing. Lynch is far....FAR.....from a sure thing.
