2023 Off-Season Thread

Just looked at Vegas odds.

Jalen Ramsay?s next team if not w Rams. Det is the favorite, followed by Raiders.

Lions +125
Raiders +150
Bengals +700

The Lions have $21M in cap space before they re-structure any contracts (if necessary) which is 13th. Chargers are 15th after re-structures. Re-structures just push the money to the future, but you have to pay at some point.

2024, as of now the Lions have $104M, Chargers are over by $52M.

Lions are in good shape going forward.

But you don't. Saints have been $50+ million over every year and yet they're signing big QB contracts.

And losing 3/4th of dline to fa and backloading carrs deal

We get it LKP. You don?t want to be the guy kicking a can down the road. You?d rather be the bum picking it up for a .10 cent return.

Rather be the team that builds smart for the long term

Goff is better than Carr. We will beat the saints ass in the super dome in 2023

Saints didnt perform any miracles..Carr has a 7.2 million cap hit and much higher in 2024 and beyond.

Sources: The #Rams are in talks to trade All-Pro CB Jalen Ramsey to the #Dolphins. A blockbuster.

We were the favorite to land Ramsey and we let Miami snag him for a 3rd rounder?

The Los Angeles Rams have agreed to trade star cornerback Jalen Ramsey to the Miami Dolphins for a 2023 third-round pick and tight end Hunter Long, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Rams in salary cap hell and had to dump Ramsey for peanuts.

Ramsey got a new deal guaranteed too

Lions would have to give a 2nd at least

Would have still liked to have him but other options in fa or draft still longer term

I?m sure it came down to Ramsey not wanting to come to Detroit.

Well that helps us dodge a bullet if he doesnt

Holmes will build up the defense longer term without him

Shows us cbs are coming

Brock wright and a 2nd?.. why the hell wouldn't we have done that?

Wright is not signed yet. ERFA. So can't trade someone not signed.

Agree but maybe Ramsey said no?

Maybe they didn't want the 17 million cap hit or the new deal Ramsey just got fully guaranteed

Culture fit

We'll see what Holmes does in FA and the draft at CB. Ramsey great for 3 years but the other ones could be good/great for 5 years and cheaper

Shows Holmes will be targeting CB for sure

I'd rather win playoff games and Super Bowls.

Draft well and be smart in FA. Lions are doing that and building the right way to get to that goal.

Favorites to win the NFC North already. Let's see if they can execute. Set up nicely with extra draft picks and cap space for free agency (but still have to be smart)

Drafted Re-signs start in 2024/2025
