Annual premature mock draft

Hughes Robinson is going 12th overall in Walters mock. May be high but he's not making it past round. Also in Walters latest Barr is still there. Mayhew loves pulling the trigger on fallers: Fairley, Reiff. If he's there that's our round 1 pick guarensheed.

R1 - WR...this is a must with all the money already on O, they need that superstar #2 WR to finally see that money pay off, plus they need someone to shoulder the load with CJ having knee problems

R2 - C...yes, Raiola has another year or two, but get someone now to get them in trained to take over while also finally providing quality depth if Raiola gets injured

R3 - MLB...time for Tully's replacement to get some reps

R4 - S...even more an issue than CB at this time IMO, they have several young CBs with flashes of talent, need them to step up

R6 - K...need to get a solid K on this team, best value for R6 pick based on needs

R7 - WR...possible insurance to help if R1 pick flops, though this late is obviously a gamble on a kid but maybe can find one who can become a hidden gem in the draft

A round 7 receiver is going to make up for a round 1 flop?? Cmon

ya last I saw he was a late rd 2 projection.....I thought hed rise....sucks. All these guys were at one time first round projections. Theyre all very good prospects and atleast a couple of them will fall to rd 2. Looks like ill have to adjust my mock already lol.

Jake Matthews OT 6'5?" 309 Texas A&M
Greg Robinson OT 6'5" 320 Auburn
Taylor Lewan OT 6'7?" 314 Michigan
Cyrus Kouandjio OT 6'5" 310 Alabama
Morgan Moses OT 6'6" 332 Virginia
Zack Martin OT 6'4?" 308 Notre Dame
Ja'Wuan James OT 6'5⅞" 314 Tennessee
Antonio Richardson OT 6'6" 330 Tennessee

I see Barr as a 3-4 OLB.....if we make the switch and hes there then I think we take him for sure. If we stay 4-3 im just not sure where we play him. He doesn't seem the 4-3 DE type eventhough he has the size.

True or false: there have been undrafted WRs who have played at a #2 level or better in the past?

R7 is where there is zero certainty and virtually zero difference compared to undrafted players. Difference being, you are the only team bidding for the player when drafting in your turn, so you can get the undrafted guy you want without competitive offers.

Conversely, R1 WRs, as all Lions fans should recognize, can be busts.

In summary, yes the chances are slim but a slim chance is better than no chance at all, right???

Frankly I don't give a fuck what position the draft in R7 though. ;)

With our needs and the players available, I think taking a center in round 2 is too early. I don't even know if a center will be picked until the 3rd round. Why would we draft Tulloch's replacement when he has 3 years left on his deal??? I agree that getting a safety would be good if we can find a solid one in the mid-rounds.

1. Mike Evans WR
2. Kyle Fuller CB
3. Kareem Martin DE
4. Jeremy Gallon WR

Everything after should be S, LB, K, or OL

1. Denarrd, CB, MSU
2. Cooks, WR, Oregon STate
3. Jeffcoat, OLB, Texas
4. Larsen, C, Utah State
6. Boswell, K, Rice
7. Jordan Lynch, QB, Northern Illinois

Great..... Now I have to change my first two picks.

Jackass

Personal opinion that with scwartz being gone, tully will not fit new system well and after next year (or sooner) tully will no longer be the starter. Again, just an opinion that I'm confident will find disagreement from many.

I'd be ok with a C in round 3 but talent starts Fropping quickly at that point.

Feces Orally Regurgitated Drinks will help wash it down during the playoffs.

Chill on the unwarranted name calling, guys.

For a football forum this part of the board is more like hockey. Let 'em duke it out until the tilt is over or one turtles and then you play on. Mitch is like a good playoff ref that let's things go and rarely makes calls. Keeps the twinkle of the ol' ESPN board going. In my mind Diggler is only in the wrong for telling him to eat shit and not asking how he feels if he did eat shit.

I know someone banned for a year from this board for less

Hard to believe a year goes by that quick, another lions season over. Went to 14 games this year
