Brandon flowers released

People argue relentlessly that Pettigrew is a good TE. So when you resigned him that should have squashed the TE need. Ebron is not a top 10 talent. If you look at the history of the NFL....hes no where close to the talent level of other top 10 TEs. It was bad value and they reached for a need. I on the otherhand agreed with the need....because I think Pettigrew sucks ass....which makes mayhew an idiot for resigning him if your target was ebron.

We say the same thing about Stafford year after year after year.....last year was supposed to be the year he broke out cause now we had Bush. Now its this year cause we have tate and ebron lol. Fool me once doesn't apply to some of you. Ill wait and see if he every capitalizes on all these weapons and changes we make specifically for him to be better. Until then ill assume hes just an average qb making too much money that locks on to calvin or dumps down.

You are a moron that can't figure out how they will use both Pettigrew and Ebron. Ebron is more about the hole in the slot and using two tight end sets. Just because they drafted Ebron doesn't mean Pettigrew sucks. It's not either or, it's adding talent on top of talent. And Ebron was not a reach at all.

Correct, Pettigrew sucked well before ebron got here.

Ebron and Pettigrew are two completely different players. Ebron is a playmaker where Pettigrew is a blocker and will work in the short game where he's better suited. And Ebron has been compared to Vernon Davis...an athletic freak who makes plays. You have no idea how good or bad he can be.

And re-signing Pettigrew was genius. Say Ebron and Fauria are huge successes, Pettigrew becomes expendable and costs ZERO against the cap next year.

And who fn said that Bush coming to town would make Staff breakout? lol.

The problem is Pettigrew wasn't very good at the block last season..according to PFF which seems like the bible around here..

Stafford is not a good QB. Not difficult to see, good QB don't flake out for 2 months. A new WR and TE won't change that..

4,650 yards, 29 TDs and 6th in 3rd down conversions.

Bush fumbles and drops hurt Stafford too though.

Mixed bag of help and hurt.

All of those things did hurt...along with his own fumbles, his INTs, his Pick 6's, his inaccurate passes. It all adds up to a mediocre season.

Stafford played well enough to win 11-12 games.

Nope more than that when you truly watch and see what actually happened. Your half ass memory of the events doesn't cut it.

What ACTUALLY happened is they won 7 games. You are the one with the half ass memory. I remember the good plays AND the bad. You only remember the good.

False. I remember everything and watch everything. ANd I know who to blame correctly. You remember just the bad based on your posts. I know for a fact the good far outweighs the bad with Stafford.

Played shitty enough to lose 11-12 games as well. No matter how you look at it, he won 7 games. He's as good as his record shows. The seven games the Lions won were just bad luck for the opposing team. See how this works LKP? Excuses are kind of fun. I could get use to this.

So, "the Lions" won 7 games, but "Stafford" lost the rest?
