Matt Willis. It would be cool if we brought him back. He should have made the team in the first place, but we had no room.

i hadn't looked him up previously. seems he played a bit in Denver and is 29, so he is more Vet than kid.

we obviously have room now and if anyone's performance in Preseason warranted being brought back after being cut it was his, IMO. he could turn into another Bell type player for us, guy who gets cut and comes back even better wanting to prove he deserves his spot. i wish i had some influence to bring him in. granted i'm not sure how he performed during practice or vs 1st team Ds, but he showed great awareness of the sidelines and knew how to make some tough catches.

WTF is an NFL player doing out at 2:25am on a Tuesday during the season? Why was he the one getting the pizzas? He couldn't pay a delivery kid a hundred dollar tip to deliver at that hour? Or one of the people who were going to have the pizza with him?????

He should have better smarts than to be out at that hour during the season, IMO. How late did he plan on staying up? Was there no practice scheduled for today?

It isn't bad luck when these guys do stupid things like this, it is guys not showing responsibility and being a bad teammate. Yes, I know Nate does a ton of good for the team and is a helluva teammate on the field and in the locker room, but this was completely avoidable and should never happen during the season.

Years ago when I worked on the pres crew at our newspaper, we had to train ourselves over and over to not grab at things that fall. If a rag falls into the press, hit the stop button, don't reach for it because as soon as you grab it, you are going into a press shoulder deep.

It took a lot of work to train the mind to let things fall, because it's absolute human nature to grab at anything that falls.

Why he was getting pizza at 2:25 am I have no idea. I am not even sure where you find a pizza that time of night. But as for why he grabbed for it... human nature my friends. It's instinct, and you just do it before you even think about it.

As for Matt Willis, I was unhappy he didn't make the final roster cut anyway. He played very well in preseason.
