Calvin must be out of his mind....right??

How do you know Ebron is a better player than anyone? Guy hasn't caught a pass yet, and from all indications in the early training camp, he's got a case of the dropsies (not shocking, it was a big knock on him at Carolina).

Let him take a snap or two before you declare he's better than anyone.

Younger durable Tate is better than Burleson. Agreed?

Ebron compared to Pettigrew (who is still on the roster too). Skillset wise Ebron has better separation ability and ability to get YAC. Pettigrew has a drop issue too. So it's not going too far out on a limb to say he's better than Pettigrew even without seeing a snap. And like I said, Pettigrew is still here (and successful with Stafford in the past).

Ebron compared to 84 targets of Durham. If you think it's even close, you are insane. Ebron all day.

And to lesser extent. Ogletree not knowing hte playbook picked up in October or Ogletree with an offseason.

Broyles off an ACL or Broyles (appearing healthier) off a achilles injury farther away from the ACL.

They scored 44 TDS and 19 FGs. 8 close losses of 9.

What will they score this year on offense?

That brings up another point, Pettigrew will still get his touches I'd imagine..so I don't see the rook getting as many yards as you might think..I'd be surprised if he got 500 yards..

But Durham won't get his touches. 80 targets at least for Ebron.

Tony, you are arguing something completely different than what myself and a couple others are arguing.

We know that's why those guys were brought in. But the fact that he's saying it doesn't mean it's going to happen.

No, im not arguing something different. I told you guys a week ago why those players were brought in. Too help taking pressure off Calvin. Calvin is saying the exact same thing. I don't have a crystal ball...i don't know what's going to happen. But doubles might not be as often and Calvin says it too

They scored 24.7 PPG last year and gave up 23.5 PPG last year. Might want to rethink that statement.

I was referring at each game. They could score 50 or 9, as long as they win I don't care. Though I don't have the confidence of the offense or defense that you do..

Tony...big picture buddy. We were 3rd in passing offense last year. How the fuck more improved do you actually think were going to get?? We needed to improve in other areas this offseason.....and our brilliant gm decided to improve the 1 thing we were statistically good at last year and neglect everything else except olb and backup center....whippidity doo.

NFL needs to base offenses and defense on points scored or allowed IMO. I'm not looking it up, but third in passing offense and middle of the pack in scoring offense? Improve by actually finishing drives more often with TDs.

And by pressure, Calvin means production too. Calvin won't have to do as much.

Now we just need Stafford to say he'll compete passes at a 75% clip.

And Broyles/Edwards/Ogletree/Ross combined for 60 targets.

80 is probably right for Ebron.

Aren't some of those guys still on the team..but 80 targets could mean 50 completions and I'm being generous. 10 yards a pop 500 yards.

10 YPC was Pettigrew. Pettigrew was 68% competion. 13-14 YPC is more Ebron.

Tony, did anyone actually argue that is why those guys were brought here? I think that goes without saying...

The argument that was interpreted by your thread is that because Calvin is SAYING it, that it will actually happen. That premise is false, because no one knows how any team will gameplan for the Lions. We don't know if Ebron is going to be any good, so assuming teams will stop doubling Calvin is not logical.
