Calvin must be out of his mind....right??

Then he doesn't go through enough progressions because he's throwing into coverage and forgetting about open guys.

Nobody was fucking open!!!!!!!!!!!! Durham/Pettigrew. His best bet was Calvin in doubles or dump to RB.

Tate and Ebron were added for a huge reason. Get the fuck open.

I don't get why anyone would think Ebron is going to be some saviour. Hasn't even been in a preseason game. And Tate is a nice option but he's no start.

heres the problem for you kool aid drinkers.....you think tate and ebron are going to turn our offense into the 2013 Denver broncos.

Heres the reality:

1) Tate will end up being a wash to Burleson. He'll put up Burlesonesque type numbers mainly because Stafford doesn't utilize his 3rd and 4th options that much. Tate has NEVER put up huge numbers so I don't expect huge numbers now that hes here.

2) Ebron will be marginally better statistically than Pettigrew. Yes, ebron is more athletic and can run an entire route tree. Even the LKPs of the world doesn't see that translating in to a huge amount of yardage. He'll be a nice weapon in the red zone. Hopefully that means we are better at finishing drives so the 3rd in the NFL in passing yards actually means something this year other than just a blown akers fg. Again, Stafford doesn't utilize his 3rd and 4th option very much....so unless Lombardi does this miracle make over on Stafford in 1 offseason.....then I just don't see how tate and ebron make much of a difference.

We all know you don't see it. At least the Lions and most experts do. Especially after the Tate signing. Nice input though

Most experts have said were talented and should go to the playoffs the last 2 years. Yaaaa....didn't happen. Im here to tell you the reality of the situation. If we make the playoffs this year its because the coaches we hired did their job and transformed Stafford. Unfortunately, the only transformer on our team is megatron.....

Playoffs don't mean shit. In 2011 it was big because it's been awhile but now we need wins..not a meaningless 10-6 one and done season.

you hated tate before FA.

you hated ebron before the draft.

lmao....I don't really know what to tell ya bro....youre challenging LKP for homer of all homers.

Nobody is saying saviour. They're just going to help out the offense more than the scrubs we had last year.

packers are a year ahead of us in building their team and light years ahead of us at qb. Last year they fixed their run game. This year they fixed their defense via draft, fa and LKPS favorite....getting guys back from injury. They take the division and were left in a battle for 2nd with Chicago.

10-6...no playoffs. fire mayhew.

And they were paper Lions in 2011. They didn't beat a single team with a winning record, and when NO woke up in the 2nd half, they opened a can on Detroit.

ya, lkp is very good at remembering all the unlucky plays weve had the last 2 years....but when he reminisces of the good ol days of 2011 he never seems to bring up how lucky we were. Remember when Bobby Carpenter made the first play hes ever made in his entire career and picked off tony romo? Romo had just as much of a part of us going to the playoffs as Stafford did that year lmao.

The thing about this team now is that there is more than just a few guys that can make plays. Last season on offense we had CJ and Bush then during the season we got lucky when Bell stepped up but that was it. Pettigrew flopped hard he just doesn't have any burst and without Broyles who had shown ability to get open once then fell back in the IR pool we were left with nothing. Nate looked like an old man then broke his arm so we were just terribly short. Stafford struggled inexplicably at the end of the year. First half of the season he was having a monster year and then the defense fell apart and the offense couldn't generate points so he started to force things. Right now though we have a mister everything in Megatron, we have a chain mover in Tate, Bush is explosive in the backfield, Bell can carry a load and make plays, and we have a dominant oline...these are things we know to be true. Then switch and look at the possibilities. Ebron is explosive as a TE and he is to big for a CB and to fast for a LB he should be able to push defenses back on their heels. This gives underneath guys like Bush, Bell, Riddick? and pettigrew the ability to make yards. If we need 5 yards on 3rd down I feel confident that the lbs will be cleared out or a big play is likely. We needed guys to win 1v1's now we possibly have that. I am not saying that this is set in stone but the offense could be a real weapon with mismatches all over the field. Stafford needs to step up but if he does the ceiling for this team is very high.

That's great and all but there's no guarantee Ebron will do a thing. And the ceiling of the offense could be high, if Stafford improves but we still have the same ole defense.

With that being said I don't see Stafford improving..I don't see either Tate or Ebron making a dent..And in the end we win 6 games.

Awesome more futuristic bullshit that has no base to go off of other than your skewed thoughts.

And Mitch please stop talking football. All you keep saying is "Why would anyone double a rook te" when nowhere in the entire thread did Tony state "hey they will single Calvin to double Ebron". Never was said and just goes to show how dumb you look. We already know you don't watch college football and are clueless on incoming rookies so how can you even have a fucking opinion on Ebron? And good thing you don't think Tate will "make a dent" because your opinion means so much compared to all these "experts" predicting him to break out and have a huge season. PLEASE save us all the fucking headache that is you trying to talk football and go back to the Tigers board KTHXBYE

Actually there is basis for my claim. Tate has never done anything...ever....to the tune of 2 udfas taking his job. And stafford has never made anyone not named calvin better....ever. remember getting mike thomas cause we had injuries so we pissed away a pick so he can produce here for 6 months. Guy saw like 4 passes lol. Stafford turns talent into poo...
