Detroit Tigers Team Notes Over 3 Million Views!!! Thankyou!

June 7 in Tigers history:

1908 - The Detroit Tigers turn a triple play against the Boston Red Sox for the second day in a row, but Boston wins. The two tri-killings in two games is a unique major league record.

2004 - The Tigers draft Justin Verlander in the first round of the amateur draft. A pitcher from Old Dominion, Verlander signs a deal with the Tigers in October and makes his first big league start the following July. By 2006 Verlander is contributing to the Tigers and helping them to the American League pennant. Verlander had a year for the ages in 2011 with a 24 and 5 record, while leading the league in Strikeouts, earned run average, and several other pitching categories.

Too often, Detroit Tigers' quality starts go to waste.
from the freep

The Tigers are 24-15 when they get a quality start.

The Tigers have lost eight games in which they have led in the seventh inning or later. In five of those, they have gotten a quality start. In those eight losses when leading in the seventh or later, the Tigers have scored one run in the seventh inning or later.

Detroit Tigers' Miguel Cabrera could face tricky contract situation, says ESPN's Jayson Stark.
from the freep

“One friend of Cabrera told Rumblings that there have been enough informal conversations that both sides expect a deal to get done, and possibly sooner than later".
