drafting a speed back

I'm going to be a homer for a moment here. I know many on here are hoping we get a speed back to replace Best, here's my thought.

Everyone knows Shoelace will not be drafted at QB, including him. With what he showed vs Iowa and hopefully will vs Ohio state, if he is still available in late rounds, would it be good to take him? I know he has been injured often, but I think that has more to do with frequency of carries more than fragility. He has decent size and can't argue speed.

Only down side to me is he seems to need good blocking which we don't have. Lol

the guy cant stay healthy in college, getting pounded by the elite players in the NFL compounds things......idk....I guess dexter mccluster MIGHT be a comparible player....I can't see the lions drafting a guy like him unless its 6th or 7th round, if at all

Pass on him in any round but the 7th. I would take him there. Too many questions to draft him anywhere else. Can he run out of the backfield.....i.e. set up blocks? Can he block AT ALL? How well can he catch the ball? Can he take even a speed back type role without injury?

I think even 8-10 touches a game would kill this guy at the NFL level.

He is dynamic.....no question.....but so are a lot of other guys with a LOT more experience.

not sure yet where he is projected to go but could easily see us grabbing him in the middle to late rounds. We need to much help other places but you never pass up bpa and with his attributes he would easily be the most physically gifted athlete at that time in the draft.

I would think he goes undrafted...which is better for him so he can sign with a team that's the best fit. I'm worried about him staying healthy as well. The guy pretty much has to leave every game he has played in his career for at least a few plays.

Robinson wont be a "speed back" in the nfl. Hell be drafted to return kicks. IFFFFF he shows he has hands he could have some potentional as a slot/screen/reverse WR.

ZERO chance he'll go undrafted if he runs as well at the combine as he should. Speed ALWAYS gets drafted.

Have the coaches youtube theo riddick....dude is tearing it up vs usc. Converted wr has great hands out of the backfield. Would be a nice mid to late round 3rd down back.....if we have any mid to late round picks left.

I bet he goes undrafted. He's too small, a bandaid and he won't go as a QB. Who's taking him as a WR or RB? Does he even want to do that anyways? No chance of him going in the draft.

Armanti Edwards was drafted in the 3rd round. He's smaller and probably not as fast as Robinson and was also NOT drafted as a QB.

Shoelace will get drafted.

Meh...i don't see it. It would be a complete waste if you ask me.

IMO, he gets invites to camps or gets signed as a UFA and has to work to keep himself on a roster. Prove he can be durable and lock down a set position for himself.

We'll see.

McShay has him as the 86th OVERALL prospect.

He's gonna get drafted.
