ESPN QB Rankings

Romo 66% last year (better than Stafford), 8 yards per attempt (better than Stafford), 3.1 TD/int ratio (better than Stafford)

Get off this kids dick..he throws a lot of passes. Quit acting like he had one of the greatest seasons of all time and is automatically better than everyone outside the big 4.

Who said that? I just said he had a hell of a season. And unless you're bitter than you'd agree.

Yeah didn't change anything... you guys crack me up. Stafford had a very good season last year, but you guys overblow it beyond belief.

Not overblown. We're fans of Detroit. What do you want us to say, "yeah he was just okay"

And to be fair, Romo by looking at the numbers had a good season. But if you look at games individually, he was the one who lost vs Detroit, all his fault and the other team he was bad in half two in the same manner. They could have made the playoffs.

Nope, but based on one above average year he's a top QB in the league now. You guys act like he just compiled a "special" season or something. He was good, not great. Very promising for Lions fans but tone it down with the "Any GM would take Stafford over (insert name)..look at that year he had last year!"

Why?

My aforementioned post. Romo was a big reason why they missed the playoffs. The game against Detroit and that 2nd team, I forget who. Maybe not fair but he is the QB and he screwed up.

Romo had 2 terrible possesion against Detroit, I'll give you that. However Dallas ran the ball 9 times in the 2nd half of that game. A decision made by Dallas coaching, the same staff that decided to keep a gimpy Dez Bryant in the game against NYJ that cost them. A game in which the defense/special teams blew a 17 point 4th quarter lead... the same coaching staff iced their own kicker against AZ and cost them a win...the same team that gave up a 14 or 17 point lead with 3 minutes to go against NYG costing them a win... Dallas is overrated and their coaching staff sucks. It's not Romos fault they didn't make the playoffs and it's not his fault they can't win a superbowl. He's a top 5-6 Qb in the NFL.

And we're saying a deserves to be higher ahead of guys like Flacco, what the hell did he ever do, Schaub, Ryan, Vick. That's all.

But the pundits have just one response, "but he only had 1 good year BS"

Romo had betternumbers than Stafford last year and a lot of Staffords numbers came in a select few games... You guys could never admit to it but Romo had a better year last year in which he was scrutinized than Staffords glory year.

Well all you have about last year against Romo is the Lions game.

I agree about the coaching staff but Detroit didn't have a chance until Romo gave them one.

Detroit had a non existence running game. Everyone knows you're passing and he still does it. You guys get a guy hurt, bring in that rook RB and he explodes. Easier to pass with a running game.

Did he have a better year than Romo?

That's pretty close. Stafford had some better stats such as yards, TDs, but Romo had better stats including yards per attempt, completion %; Int/attempt. Romo had a better rating too. I would say the tie breaker to me is the Lions game when Romo almost single handedly gave the Lions the win.

FINALLY had a running game. Our running game for years has been Barber with 8 touches all game and then giving it to him to salt it away in the 4th..Felix Jones 8 touches a game and the rest passes. I know how it is trust me...

Just feels like you guys discredit Romo's all pro numbers and wins because he doesn't win in the playoffs, but then you discredit Flacco for winning games and advancing in the post season because he doesn't have numbers... my question is will you be able to discredit Stafford if he has these same kind of years statistically but never wins anything? Cuz thats what you're doing with Romo. Sure he has 5 or 6 plays/memories over his career that you go "this guy just can't get it done." But you remember them because he's in Dallas, ESPN shows them over and over, and it's a stigma everyone labels him with. His team NEVER bails him out. I can't think of many games he plays bad and Dallas wins like Big Ben with the Steelers or someone like that.

Nonetheless, you had one in 2011.

Fair enough, but you see what I'm saying though. On the surface because of Lions fans, media etc..it seems like it's no contest Stafford crushed Romo. But really, Romo had as good or better of a season.
