ESPN Stafford vs Sanchez argument

1st was a horrible throw? Mitch, it was tipped at the line of scrimmage and it still got to Reggie. It was hitting him in stride. It was a good play by the defenders. Cmon.

There is a reason the Lions lead the league in tipped passes.

It's not Staff. It's Ngata making a great play.

So defenses play us better than anyone? It's probably other coaches saying "pot your hands us, be throws a lower ball". It's okay if he puts some loft on it instead of zipping it in.

So that's on the QB every single time? You're delusional.

And there's a reason why Staff's comp % is so low as well. They lead the league in dropped passes too.

That's all they can do if they are stoned at the line especially the DTs. Sold plan B for them.

It's a pattern. It suggest Staff throws a low ball. Poor some loft on it dude.

And you want Stafford to loft a ball on a short slant over the middle. Mitch your better than this. Come on man

He's not saying that. A few things factor into batted balls at the line of scrimmage. Height of QB, lack of pressure so players get their hands up. Its a combination of QB play and good defending. You can't solely blame the QB.

And I know Staffords batted passes in previous years. Lower. It is great plays by a Dlinemen, nothing more, nothing less.

I don't think I solely blame anyone. But I don't believe we get more tipped balls because of this or that..there is a reason we're getting tipped balls so much. Most of that falls on Staff. Do some more double pumps or something...

Move left into Suggs or move right into Dumervil. And it's a quick throw slant by the way.

Double pumps on a quick slant. Mitch buddy, you're better than this.

Move around into pressure when there is no pressure? Come on Mitch, you're better than this.

More around so there is no dl man who can block a pass. It's an idea that might help him.

There are Dlinemen in every lane. If he moves, not only is the timing off on the quick slant, he's probably sacked on the play. Great plan.

Think about it, Mitch. Stafford is the least sacked QB I believe. What does that mean? Defenders are getting stymied at the line of scrimmage. Plan B, get your hands up, right? Right. It's a mixture of QB play and great defending.

Then why don't other teams have as many tipped balls? Do the defense we play just play better against us..you can't just ignore all of it and say it's not the QB fault ever.
