Game 10: Lions @ Panthers Thread

Illegal formation, prater miss and Not going for it on 4th twice in panther territory

Oline allowing 5 sacks like that. Awful

Plus the drops

It’s maddening

The team is poorly coached. Caldwell was a better coach then this clown. Sadly it’s time to start over again. Other franchises turnaround all the time. But the Ford’s are such terrible owners and have zero clue what to do. Go ahead dumb asses ask the NFL advisory board for help again on a new Gm again it worked so good this time.

Watching the SNF game, KCs online looks far worse than ours.

For some reason they don't seem to be calling penalties on Mahomes for leaving the pocket...I'm confused, is the QB allowed to do that?

Andy dalton just beat the Vikings with no defense. He's not making excuses.

Cowboys had 180 yards rushing. Lions 40
No cowboys drops, lions at least 3
Penalties taking back tds? Hello marvin
Cowboys allowed 1 sack, lions 5

But yeah its Staffords fault

Bunch of giant pussies who can’t tackle. And clueless in zone. Slow in man or miss press. Can’t turn corner in pass rush. Blitz always picked up

Even so 20 or 17 allowed if not for dumb penalty should be low enough for lions to beat panthers defense with more points

Everyone but Stafford should be embarrassed

Stafford should be embarrassed too. He is supposed to be the leader of the team, and especially the offense. An offense that just got shut out. It's a team game, but if you are the leader, you need to be accountable.

Maybe he isn't a good leader. Maybe he never has been. Maybe that's the problem and one of the reasons that this team has sucked while he has been the starting QB. Being a good NFL QB isn't just about having the "arm talent".

Well, we can't expect even a defensive savant like Matt Patricia to confuse a QB like J.P. (sic) Walker or outmaneuver such a seasoned NFL coach like Matt Rhule. It was just too much to overcome.

Not about confusing them. It's about the Dline manning up and winning their matchups. They didn't and were missing people too but so were the Panthers (Okung and Miller). Same with the blitzes, all of them got picked up. CBs were slower than Moore and Anderson who are good players. Mike Davis leads the league in missed tackles forced, that continued some.

Walker had all day to throw

So it's ALL on the PLAYERS and the COACHES are blameless. Got it.

This one is mainly offense but not Stafford. Giving up 20 is actually a decent day especially given the short field on the Ragnow fumble.

And the Panthers rushed 3 and dropped 8 in coverage and it worked. Thats the thing you guys hate most of Patricia. Peterson, Kerryon, Oline sucked and all the weapons sucked. Hock was fine receiving but was terrible blocking.

Stafford blew, the OLine blew, TEs blew, WRs blew, RBs blew, coaches blew, the team blows.

All those things made it look like Stafford blew. But he actually didn't. No run game, weapon separation and drops kill any Qbs numbers. Stafford wasn't misfiring or missing open receivers. Nobody was open and the game plan was atrocious. Plus he was under pressure. When he did throw it, it got dropped often

Giving up 20 to an offense with a QB who was cut 12 times and never started an NFL game is pathetic.

Not a single red-zone appearance. Against a defense that gave up 45 points and 500+ yards the previous week.

If you are playing a team as shitty as the Panthers, a good QB shouldn't need a run game to produce. The Chargers had a similar rushing performance and Herbert (a rookie) passed for 366 yards and 3 TDs. GB had 53 yards (AR 311 / 3 TDS) Watson 55 yards rushing 344 yards 2 TDs

It wasn't one thing. If run game isn't working, you need protection, open receivers. You need to not have penalties when you throw great TDs. You need people to catch the ball and not drop it

All of things didn't happen to Herbert and Rodgers. They had protection and open receivers and people hung onto the ball. And look what happens when a receiver messes up. MVS fumbles and Green Bay loses

I'm not talking about wins and losses...I'm talking about the ability of a good QB to produce without a running game or when things aren't going right. I'm talking about the ability to move the ball and score at least a single point.

15 incompletions...were they all drops? :bs:

There have only been 2 shutouts this year. The Jets and the Lions. Two really shitty teams.

Time to clean house again and start over, this rocket science experiment is a colossal failure. The sooner the fords admit that, sell the team and move on the better

Look at just a few weeks ago. GB played SF. SF started their 3rd string QB. SF was down their top 2 RBs and top 4 pass catchers. They only managed 55 yards on the ground but still put up 17 points. And that was against a playoff team.

Nick Mullens :lmao:

There was a time when I wanted the Lions to move to Los Angeles and be replaced by an expansion team. That time has come again and Oakland is vacant.
