Game 14: Lions @ Bills Thread

You know what the best QBs do when these horse shit calls come in, to throw a three yard out on 3rd and 9? They handle the shit themselves.

Remember, Stafford BEGGED them to keep JBC when the new coaches were hired. Talking about how comfortable he was with JBC and how great of an OC he is.

Through 10 years, it is always SOMETHING. Offensive line, defense, weapons, coaches, something. It's NEVER about Stafford. He had his time here. It's over. Time to move on.

Stafford is a good QB. You don't see it. I don't care anymore. Good QB having a bad yr. The NFL has recognized he's a good QB and so have the players. That's why he's been voted in the top 100 the past few yrs.

As for Stafford begging to keep Cooter. You don't know shit. None of us do. Maybe Stafford did want Cooter back. So what? The offense wasn't really the issue. They needed some continuity at OLine and a running game. They got the running game but the OLine has been a fucking trainwreck.

Over? Says who?? You??? Lmao. He's going nowhere. Get used to it. Too much money to dump or trade him. And Stafford doesn't get a pass this yr. He's been awful but it's not all his fault. Defense has been an absolute joke and injuries are killing this team once again. You know who our 2nd leading receiver was today? A blocking TE lol. This yr has been a disaster. A TEAM disaster. As soon as you jerkoffs get that then everyone will be ok. I'm looking forward to getting our heads kicked in by Minnesota and Green Bay. On to the draft to fix this defense and 2019!!

"Jim Bob and I have a great relationship," Stafford said as he cleaned out his locker at team headquarters. "Ever since he's had the opportunity to take the reins, this offense has moved in the right direction in my opinion. I feel like I'm playing some of the best football in my career.

"So I would love to have the opportunity to keep working with him. He's been good for us, and good for me."

Do you not remember this? How public the dude made it that he wanted Cooter back? And now suddenly the OC that STAFFORD wanted back sucks? This is not a two-way street man. And I even said it as much when this was all going on. This is why Stafford will never be great. He found someone that made him comfortable. He was never put out of his comfort zone.

Tell you what my friend. We will revisit this next year. If this team does not make the playoffs, Stafford's time here is done.

A "top 100 player?" That's good? Someone who makes 30 some million a year, and we are now resigned to say he is a top 100 player? Bleh. That's why this organization is such horse shit. There are zero expectations.

Build the defense, get another legit RB. Get something built you can count on year after year.

Start looking for a mobile QB. The statue QB is a dying breed.

He did at least twice on long passes to Galloday. And his back was fine most of the season. And more importantly its the easy passes to guys wide open that he misses way too often. If he sees a blitz change the play. If he see's a zone, change the play. QB's can do that. Back bad is just another excuse. What NFL player is healthy at this point anyway.

You know nothing about football. Your analysis is fucking comical ...lmao.

Our franchise QB - injured first 2 years, great 3rd year - next 3 years sucks. I don't agree the last 3 years were as good as others but I'll pass on that - 2018 not good.

So 2009, '10, '12, '13, 14, 18. 10 year career, 6 were not good. For a franchise QB that gets paid a lot that's not good. I'm sick of him. Weather he has a top 5-6 QB one year or not his career as a whole has been disappointing.

Ya, I know what he said about Cooter but you said he "begged" for him to stay. Look up the word beg and come back to me. Unless you were sitting in the room when Patricia and Quinn decided to retain Cooter then you know jackshit. Understood?

I do believe you on something though. I do believe Stafford is working on borrowed time. He's 100% on the hot seat next yr.

Ya, top 100. You know how hard that is to make? It's no joke. Know why?? Because the players vote. No fans....PLAYERS.
And my expectations are playoffs and a Super Bowl run but who gives a fuck what I think or you think. It's what the Lions think that matters and i'm sure they want to win but you go ahead and make dumbass assumptions that they have zero expectations lol.

1993 was their last.

God damn how did I forget that great decade of the 90’s with 2 division titles only to lose that damn 1993 wildcard game at home to Green Bay. No wonder I forgot that debacle. Thanks for reminding me. Was that Brett to Shanon’s Brother ? Hey at least we had 2 in a few years . It can be done again. Next season as soon as JBc is fried. What’s amazing is in all the Lions history we have finished first only 8 times total. I really hate the Ford family.

Put Stafford on the IR this year, if his back is that bad no sense in playing him through final two games, because he will be our starter next year.

Promote Jake Rudock from the parctice squad, see what he has, best case he plays lights out (Like Matt Flynn) you flip it into a draft pick in a year with weak QB class. Worse case, he sucks you secure a top 5 pick

At least they are going to the playoffs. Most likely ;-)

Where they most likely lose to whoever they play on the road...Boys, Skins, Bears, or Rams...the last who very probably clinches a first round bye next Sunday @ Cards.

I don't know what else to tell you. When a dude who never says ANYTHING in public suddenly makes his case for his OC to stay, it seems fairly damn obvious he wanted him back.

I am talking about the future, and the expectations. Sure, we want them to win. But there is nothing to get excited about. The majority of the franchises in the NFL have SOMETHING to put their excitement towards. I like Golladay and K. Johnson, but they are complimentary pieces. Until the QB produces, this franchise will be stuck in purgatory.

Who cares if he wanted him back?! Cooter (at the time) fixed Stafford into a sound QB. There was no begging involved. Wtf is your point?

Good for you that you're not excited. That's on you bro! Not me. And you just said it. Golladay and KJ. One is a for sure #1 WR for our team and the other is our future stud RB. But you're not excited lol. Ok!! Those players are going to be fun to watch for yrs to come.

All of them. But offense I blame the QB more than the OC.

So, Stafford is to blame for a botched snap on the XP and the missed FG too? Ok lol. Stafford is also the one to blame on the bomb to Foster for the go ahead TD too, right? Wooooooonderful!!!
Stafford played decent vs a really good defense btw. Nothing special but no picks, no fumbles. So how is he to blame for this loss?? I'm trying to figure it out lol.
