Game 14: Lions @ Bills Thread

So, Stafford is to blame for a botched snap on the XP and the missed FG too? Ok lol. Stafford is also the one to blame on the bomb to Foster for the go ahead TD too, right? Wooooooonderful!!!
Stafford played decent vs a really good defense btw. Nothing special but no picks, no fumbles. So how is he to blame for this loss?? I'm trying to figure it out lol.

Weather he played decent or not today is irrelevant he didn't move the ball enough to get more scores. And we always seem to blame the OC or lack of players. Don't tell me he doesn't have the authority to call an audible. He's a ten year vet, change the play.. Throw to the deeper guy more often, the guy ten yards downfield instead of 3.

Lions have too many needs elsewhere and too much Stafford contract left to eat in a trade.

Lest we forget how mostly below average to awful that the Lions have been @ the starting QB position pre-Stafford...albeit a very low bar. Only the Bears' stable of mediocre or bust QBs can compare in their Central-North divisions during the SB era.

Maybe a QB pick in the '20 draft, when the franchise should have lower first, second, and third rounders, b/c of having a likely softer schedule from a cellar finish this season.

We didn't lose this game today because of Stafford. We also didn't lose because of the defense either. They actually played good except for the long TD given up. Blame our damn special teams. It's a common mistake teams make with new QB's they draft offense to help the young guy out and forget defense. No doubt he's a stud compared to the previous guys .. but he's playing like a rookie now.

I get he's not working with much now, but had a running game, elite #1 wr play today and a good defense.

Earlier in the season he had top oline protection, 3 good options, one of the best YPC support at RB and he still struggled.
