Game 15: Lions @ Cowboys *Monday Night* Thread

Who said ebron was open on the 3rd and 8 up 21-14 ?

Rubick on FSD broke the play down , and said Matt missed his read after he checked off right before the sack. Ebron was wide open.
Matt was never the same after this 3 and out and had happy feet the rest of the game which is my opinion.

I did, I don't get what's going on with Stafford but his play is costing us dearly.

Shame probably the most important series in the game .. up 7 anything but a 3 and out there and the whole game is different. ..

Detroit has held their opponents under 21 points in 8 straight games, until tonight.

Stafford posted a season-worst 63.7 rating. He completed just 26 of 46 passes for no touchdowns, one pick and also lost a fumble.

DeAndre Levy started at linebacker for the first time since Week 1, while Zach Zenner started at running back.

Receivers Andre Roberts (shoulder) and Anquan Boldin (finger) left the game in the second quarter, but eventually returned.
Safety Miles Killebrew suffered an eye injury in the second half and did not return.

Laken Tomlinson started the game at left guard, but was benched in the first half and replaced by little-used rookie Joe Dahl.
That gave the Lions an all-rookie look on the left side of their offensive line, with Taylor Decker at left tackle and Graham Glasgow at center.

Anquan Boldin finished with five catches, giving him 63 for the season. This is the 12th time he's surpassed 60 receptions in a season.
The only other players to ever do that: Jerry Rice (17 seasons), Tony Gonzalez (15), Jason Witten (13), Larry Fitzgerald (12) and Terrell Owens (12).
Boldin now has 1072 catches in his career which is ninth best all-time.

Stafford, playing his third career game in his home state, completed 26 of 46 passes for 260 yards. He took four sacks,1 interception, and lost a fumble in the fourth quarter and failed to throw a touchdown pass for the second straight game.

Zenner finished with 67 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries. He added two receptions for another 25 yards.

With eight catches for 93 yards, Eric Ebron now has career highs in both receptions and yards in a single season.

Golden Tate now has 80+ receptions in all three of his years as a Lion.
He’s only the third player in Lions history to do this.

Tight end Matthew Mulligan made his first catch of the season.

Lions DT Stefan Charles, who suffered a knee injury Monday night, had a massive brace on his right leg in the locker room. He declined to talk after the game.

Boxscore.

The Lions’ secondary, which was missing top cornerback Darius Slay (hamstring), struggled most of the night, surrendering touchdown catches to Dez Bryant (2) and tight end Jason Witten.

Key stat: After scoring a touchdown on their first three possessions of the game, the Lions offense strangely fell ice cold.
Starting with their fourth possession of the game, the Lions went: Punt, punt, interception, punt, missed field goal, punt, lost fumble and ran out of time, on their next eight possessions.

Stafford running for his life in the 2nd half...
No adjustments....
Where was the run game in the 2nd half? Lol....
Refs are a joke....
Austin and Cooter will NEVER be HC's!!!

Bullshit defensive hold after we stopped Dak short of sticks. Facemask by Bryant not called and he catches a miracle TD.

Bullshit DPI on Lawson early in the 2nd half to set up Cowboys 4th TD.

Bullshit personal foul on Robinson before 5th TD.

refs basically given the Cowboys 17-21 points.

Stafford injury is just fucking bad luck. He was having a monster year and now no TDs since. Slay out. Ansah missed many snaps per game.

I'm sick of incompetent refs and bullshit untimely injuries.

Abdullah healthy. Elliott can break his foot on a sick juke next time. Fuck that.

Blah blah blabbity blah blah blah. The Lions got crushed in the 2nd half because they couldn't make fucking adjustments and Dallas did.

And our MVP candidate played worse than a rookie. Much much much worse. Dak made all the throws with perfect touch. Our mvp kept missing over and over and over and over and over and over again....

LOL you don't even know adjustment they would make. It's a generic bullshit comment by you. "Oh they didn't make adjustments, I'm just going to say something so I sound smart."

What defense was the Cowboys in? What adjustments should they have made? What were the protections? The play calls? What were the WR routes that you would change. Be specific please.

Refs allowed Cowboys DPI/def holding all day, OPI (Bryant first TD). Lions got called with ticky tack shit on 3rd and 4th Cowboys TD drive.

Lions protection was executed poorly. Tomlinson, Glasgow, Dahl

Our MVP is fucking hurt. Dak has a clean pocket with Cowboys holding. and gets second chances even when Lions don't commit a penalty.

Dak is doing big things no doubt but look at our OLine then peek over at that Cowboys OLine. It's fkn night and day. Best OLine in football and a top 3 RB?? I wish Stafford had that!! We got Zack Zenner tho..lol.

Who had a couple of bad plays in the 2nd half and was basically never heard from again.

Lions moved the ball. But then Prater missed and protection broke in red zone. Could have scored 31 on the road.

The first two drives of 3rd Qtr were bad on offense and defense. Down 14 quickly.

Stafford is what Stafford is. Good for 8 games. Less than good for 8 games. Yet again he will fall right about the average range for QB rating at the end of the season.

He was under pressure, but also wasn't sharp with a clean pocket. He's improved, his bad isn't one of the worst in the league anymore, but still nothing special. His average play predates his injuried finger.

Zenner. He was used little to zero in the 2nd half

Oh ok. I know!! I don't get it. Caldwell more or less said the Cowboys took Zenner away in the 2nd half but i'm like you here. They should have used him more. Either way, Stafford was running for his life and looked rattled. Haven't seen that Stafford for like over a year+.

Yeah no kidding, Zenner was running like a man on a mission so doofus caldswell gives us more Washington in the second half. Brilliant. Washington is too indecisive. Lions need a bigger back or two. Lots of needs for the 2017 draft. DE, DB, RB, FB, G, WR, WR, TE in no particular order.

Honest question....

If Stafford is so average then why do guys like you get mad when they try and surround the kid with weapons?

Stafford was MVP caliber before the injury. After the injury 0 passing TDs. That injury is fucking horse shit.

You were wrong Brewer. And now using the injury to make Stafford seem bad
