Game 2: Titans @ Lions Thread

Outside of the Ebron play, what call was so bad it cost them?

It only takes one, that took a touchdown off the board and they only ended up with up 3...they lost by one, it only takes one bad call or no call to change an entire game. frankly this NFL product with thier ability to control outcomes with Ticky tacky calls is no longer watchable. It's no longer enjoyable and its largely unimportant

What about not holding the next play so that TD counts. It shouldn't be one play at home against the Titans that makes a difference.

A bad interception at the end of the game was just as bad as the call. Not covering Walker was just as bad.

Andre Johnson just made a play to win. If you can lose because of one call you're not doing something right.

Yeah I think we had this conversation last year to, by the end of the day, don't really care.. steadly losing interest in the NFL in general.

How many losses is this under the Fords now since 1961 ? Same old garbage product. CantUT Bad Teams away. Beat one good team every once and awhile . Make yhe playoffs a few times and never win. My lord the Fords are horrible,.

The late WCF purchased the Lions on November 22, 1963, the same date that JFK was assassinated in Dallas, TX.

Ugly game....

Too many injuries, Stafford wasn't sharp, too many drops, can't close, probably the worse officiating crew i have seen in the last 30+ years lol. Garbage game

Oh, and why does Tate insist on trying to catch the ball with one fucking hand??

Game was lost on first and goal at the 1 yard line right before half. I do no give two shit's about the bad call on Ebron. I do not think he pushed off but idk.
That being said Caldwell has said he wants to establish the run. Then freaking line up and use the fullback and crack it in the middle 3 times in a row. What better way to give your young line some confidence? Just a horrible coaching decision.Caldwell's team lacks discipline because they are poorly coached. Today's game was a real embarrassment but typical In the Ford era. Just another loss to a team they should beat at home. Such a tiring loss. The fans who paid thier hard earn money to go to Ford Field deserve so much more then this crap.
NE wins with a third string qb, and we get this shit.

Lions need to understand and accept the fact that they are not the Packers, Patriots, Steelers, Cowboys, or Broncos, and will get flagged more if they don't stop taking stupid penalties b/c they aren't trying to play more disciplined and mistake-free from the start.

There are the Lions and the Browns, then every other NFC & AFC team above them in the NFL's "pecking order" IMO.

Are any of the injuries the Lions had long time? If anyone knows at this point.

I know but he was president and chairmain in 1961 I believe . To bad for him because 1961 they were 8-5 , and in 1962 the lions were 11-3. Not sure if those are ever counted in his shitty team win loss record. But starting in 1963 Mr loser had just a few good years.. The Ford's are just shitty football owners.

Checked football reference . They are counting William C. Fords first two years as president and ceo also . So his record ends up starting in 1961.
Yikes.

Lions say RB Ameer Abdullah has a "foot" injury, he was spotted postgame in a walking boot with a noticeable limp.

The one Tate tried to catch with one hand and almost did was WAY past his stretch, I was surprised it was almost hauled on.

But yes, I noticed the same thing. He looked kinda bored.

Maybe Tate was just bummed because he was playing against his hometown team.. He wanted to have a big day.

I love how we have a kicker that kicks 65 yard fgs but our moron coach punts it from the 40 in a close game with a defense littered with injury. Then Murray says fuck you and you and your field positon caldwell on the next play and runs for 60 yds lol. Our coach is so fucking dumb.

Never occurred to me to dig any deeper than when WCF bought majority control of the Lions franchise. No wonder that they didn't play in a championship btw '58 and '63.
