Game 2: Titans @ Lions Thread

Why wait till the 2pt conversion to blitz that series . AUSTIN should have brought the heat on 4th down. It's not like our linebackers know how to turn ther heads in coverage. .

Man this loss bugs me. I really thought the lions could manage this easy schedule to some easy wins. Today should have been a blowout statement win but you get Caldwell 's shit show. A team with no discipline at all. Some really awful play calling in spots. Drops, no depth, penalties , same old same old. New England plugs in qb #3 and keeps winning. So many damn chances to put the titans away. Just awful.
We have deer in the headlights guy who does shit on the sidelines. He never yells at the refs. Didn't see many adjustments by Jim bobs great offense in the second half. It was nonexistent.

Great coverage and there was a safety there. Incredible to put it only spot he could catch.

Lions won that game 19 16. Incompetent refs and injuries strike again

Sorry we didnt. We are 1-1 and going nowhere sadly if you can't beat the shitty titan team at home. I could care less about the bad call on Ebron. Stop being chicken and run the ball on first and goal at the one yard line and do not give the refs a chance to fuck us and give your young line some confidence. From Asmus to Caldwell we just have two terrible head guys running our teams..

Nope .
Whitehead like always never turn his head. If he does he picks it or knocks it down easy,

Outscored 13-0 in the fourth is pathetic. Drops, and missed passes by Matt just killed the offense. Boldin 2 drops all of last year and he has already passed that this season. Tate, jones ebron drops, drops, drops. But matt missed a wide open tate for a touchdown. In the 4th, and the int was terrible.

The Ebron flag .

If I were the lions owners I would take my fine and publicly blast the league for how bad these refs were yesterday. But nothing ever happens because year after year the NFL finds ways to keep the Lions from possibly winning some games.
Novel concept jim. Run THE Ball On THE 1 Yard Line !!!

Agree they could of run. But the ebron play worked. Bullshit call. Thise refs should be fired

Whitehead had great coverage and a safety. You dont turn your head everytime. 99.999 percent of time that pass would be incomplete

I thankfully didnt get to watch this game - I was golfing with my Dad...silly me I was pissed he made a Tee time for 1:30, but ended up being thankful I couldnt watch this weeks shit show.

That being said - I have been reading a lot of blogs/articles stating that Tomlinson was fucking brutal, and should be benched. What is your opinion of him - was he really THAT bad? If so, that's a disgrace....he was supposedly a 'safe' pick when we drafted him, but apparently that backfired lol.

Also - did I read the game summary right? Did we really only dress 4 LBers? Why in the fuck would we only have 4 LBers on the roster this game, when Van Noy has yet to prove he isnt made of China, and we are playing a team who has two power RBs and a mobile QB?

Now I understand why Mariota was able to carves up the Lions D in the second half. There was only 1 semi-experienced LB on the field...

I disagree turn you head make a play. I agree in the rest if it. But we are 1-1. Good teams overcome. We hAve to win that game when we are playing poorly.

Levy, williams, van noy, bostic and bynes. All hurt. Ridiculous. Armbrister has experience and so does copeland who moved back to lb

Throw in ansah and abdullah just to piss me off

Holding to 16 is good defense. Just not clutch on last drive. Offense out of synch and screwed by refs

I agree with that. You blast the refs publicly after a game that bad. The NFL needs to start making their reports about officials public. Why can't they be held accountable for how they perform?.

Bob, you keep mention running.....but the play WORKED!! There are dozens of 1 yard TD passes each year in the NFL. Also, there could have been a holding call on a run play, right?? It's all a moot point, what they did worked....but it was taken away and then the Tomlinson hold took away another TD.

Either way....piss poor execution, coaching and officiating cost us the game.

I'd really like to see Tomlinson cut, guy is just not NFL worthy. 1st round pick in Mayhew's eyes.

The good news is that there are only two teams in the NFC who are 2-0 so far, with the 1-0 Iggles yet to play tonight.

The bad news is that one of the undefeated teams is the Vikings...

I'd rather see the Vikings 2-0 right now, than the Packers 2-0. Rodgers is really struggling right now, and Bradford will not hold up

The advantage the Lions have now .. Seattle offense looks like shit. I don't see them as a lock anymore for the playoffs.
