Game 4: Chiefs @ Lions Thread

Good teams get the benefit of the doubt. Bad teams don't.

We're going to continue to get very questionable calls until we actually become a good team, for more than a season at a whack.

If you don't want the zebras to decide the game, be a better football team.

That's bullshit tho. Penalties are fucking penalties bro!! Call them!!! I get that certain teams are protected, it's painfully obvious but for fuck sakes man!!! Call some penalties!!

I think that the problem when fans watch their team they are always focused on what's impacting them in a negative fashion and dwell on it. Some fans do this more than others. Some people here won't leave it alone...all they do is bitch about officials.

Watch a game that you have no vested interest in and you will find that there are always bad calls that go both ways.

When the opposing qb stares down a ref to see if he's throwing a flag on a hold that lead to a big third down conversion, thats a problem. He saw it, but the refs didn't?

Penalties are penalties... but this game moves at 120mph, and the refs are human. There's a whole lot of times they think maybe they saw something... but they aren't quite sure.

Good teams that win will get those calls every time. They are good teams, if there's a question... "I'm sure they did it right".

Bad teams won't get those calls. If it's questionable, the bad team is going to lose out.

That's any sport, every time.

WTF is a "Hail May"?

Hail Mary's second cousin, twice removed where the rules change for shove-downs in the EZ?

Do the Lions win if they had Ramsey yesterday ? I know he has a injury and a baby coming but do we make the stop on 4th and 8 with him ? Defense played pretty decent yesterday holding Mahomes without a td pass but just couldn?t finish like say New England?s defense. I think they are getting close. 4th and 8. I think they win if they had Ramsey. I think it frees up the spy on the qb. Was number 31 suppose to be the spy because that double coverage underneath looked really odd to me by him. He looked lost to me trying to cover the guy short.

they might have won if they didn't fumble twice

of course, KC might have won going away if they didn't fumble 4 times

You mean the really bad call against the Saints in the playoffs? Happens against good teams as well.

Lions forced the KC fumbles, they were actively trying to punch the ball, and successfully did.

Lions fumbled because of clumsiness.

Lions outplayed the chiefs and the refs helped chiefs win. That is a fact

Lions outplayed the chiefs and the refs helped chiefs win. That is a fact

fact: noun. something that has actual existence. an actual occurrence.

example. The final score was 34-30, that is a fact

opinion: noun. a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter

example. The Lions outplayed the Chiefs and the refs helped...that is an opinion.

You need to get smarter.

Lol...wrong!!

I don't want to hear "the refs are human" bullshit. The refs were horrible yesterday. Are they the reason why we lost? Nope but like I said earlier, they didn't help either. These teams that get "protected" is a damn mockery to the game. I know it happens and certain teams need to be better but let's get real here. THEY SUCK!!! They literally have 60+ year old men running around calling games. That needs to stop for one. The whole thing's a joke but if Kerryon and Stafford hold onto the ball and that D stops Mahomes on that 4th and 8, we're not having this conversation.
That's 2 games they let slip out of their hands now. They should be 4-0 going into the BYE.

Here's a hint... don't leave it up to the refs. Catch the fucking ball when it hits you in the hands golladay. Don't fumble on the 1 yard line. Take the sack Stafford... or throw it away instead of fumbling. Tackle him golladay... the whistle didn't blow! All shit we'r had in our control that we fucked up on. Do those couple things we win by 10+ points and no one is talking about the refs.

I can tell you this. If it was the Lions that scooped and scored a 100 yard TD and the refs blew the whistle, our fan base would have lost their GD mind.

?For the most part, everyone understands what?s allowed, what?s not allowed on a Hail Mary,? Riveron said regarding an unofficial exception to pass interference that appears nowhere in the rulebook. ?It?s probably fortunate that we?re not putting this play into a box because it?s something when we see it, and when I say ?we? I mean the football community from fans to coaches to players to officials, we?ll all agree that that?s a Hail Mary and we?ll understand what?s allowable and what?s not.?

LOL, basically the NFL is saying there's unwritten rules so they didn't review it. Disgraceful.

if they review every hail mary there will probably be a penalty of some sort every time. Those guys are grabbing, pulling, etc...on both sides.

The Lions lost. They deserved to lose.
