We'll see how we respond and if he can pick up more things in the offense. Brees first 8 games and last 8 games in his first year in this offense was very different too.

He's shown some good things, sure. But he is also statistically one of the worst quarterback in terms of 4th quarter rating, and has an absolutely atrocious record against teams who end up with a winning record. He is who he is: a guy with a tremendous arm, very little mobility, and has big mental lapses. Everyone expected more out of him, and he's been a disappointment as a Detroit Lion.
He's far from a disappointment. We are lucky to have him. He makes us competitive despite plenty of weapon injuries and defensive breakdowns in the past (some injury related there too). It's still a team game. He moves the ball for us despite long fields and scores points for us. Finally gets some more support in Tate and the defense and Calvin gets hurt and the Oline forgets how to block. We'll see how he responds now. 3-2 still in first. We'll see. You can go ahead and write him off (you already did), I'm not going to do that. The 2011 guy is still there. Are 34 turnovers from the defense there and enough WR/TE run game support. With Calvin/Tate and growing Ebron it could be but the Oline needs to fix their issues and the run game is junk now.

We aren't going to start this again...are we? He has only been an average QB every year except 2011. Overall, in his career he has been middle of the pack and has always been paid like a top 5-10 QB while leading this team to one season with a winning record. He has cost the Lions countless games with his poor accuracy and poor decisions. So far this year he has not come through when his team needed him to carry them to a victory vs. the Bills
He's paid 10 and he plays like 10. His injured weapons have screwed him. His blocking is now screwing him. His run game has screwed him half the time and the whole time in 2014. He gets support in other areas and loses important support in Calvin/Oline. We need to get Calvin healthy and have the Oline figure it out and we'll be fine.
No his jump ball % was very low that year. 8/40 or something like that. Stafford played well, he got the turnover support (34) and he had other WR/TE support in Burleson, rookie Young and Pettigrew (playing his best).

He is not a top 10 QB and has not played like one any year he has been in the league except for 2011. On the other side he has been paid like a top 2-10 QB in the league every year he has been in the NFL.
I know it is still early in the season but right now his QB rating is under 90 and ranked 19th in the league.

Stafford top 10, Lkdouche is back in full force.
The gems always pop up around elite QBs. It is because of them they come out of nowhere.

John Brown, a 5'10'', 3rd rd pick from Pittsburgh state has 11 catches for 130+ yards and 3 touchdowns. His qb is Drew Stanton. John Brown is out producing Eric "blue chip match up nightmare who is not pulling coverage from anyone" ebron. therefor Stanton is a better qb than Stafford....

Stanton plays outdoors where he does not have to deal with the strugles of playing in a dome (ie ac coming on and off blowing passes off target)

And cap hit is the only thing that fucking matters. The whole point is you all think we don't have the proper percentage of space because of the stafford deal. You are dead wrong. And stafford is not paid like an elite qb. I proved that too.
