Game 5: Bills @ Lions Thread

Those plays are why Russell Wilson is on another level compared to Stafford. Stafford will never make throws on the run like that. He is intelligent on another level at the QB position. And those plays basically put the dagger in the argument that "he's on easy street." I wish he was the Lions QB. It's too bad.

Stafford beat redskins last year. Chill out

I always have to remind myself that the UDFA, Tony Romo, is a much better QB. You stupid Matt.

Stafford hasn't shattered shit, besides pass attempts in a season.

REALLY??? lol

When the records you "shatter" were team records held by a QB from the 50's with a sub 50% completion rate and another QB that had 1 good season in 1995, it's really not that impressive. Even if you want it to be, it isn't.

What records has he Shattered?
Are you comparing him to only Lions players?

He hasn't had it that bad. Last year he had a very good running game and arguably the best pass protection in the league.

You shouldn't need everything around you to be great to be great yourself. Greatness roses above average, average goes to the level of those around him.

That's why I believe Stafford is average.

Just sick of hearing that Stafford is constantly catered to when players like Durham, Burleson, a blocking TE and a couple of journeyman RBS are surrounding him. It's not like these guys are even close to All World players. He finally gets players like Tate and Ebron, but they're struggling right now. Banged up shitty OLine, players hurt etc etc etc....shit needs to be fixed.

I said he was a good QB, but you need to take his junk out of your mouth, bro ..wow.

Oh, and can I step in like all you doom and gloomers do and remind you all that the Redskins are a fucking joke? Because you guys have done it with almost every win we have had so far. Eli and the Giants are rusty, Rodgers was off, The Jets blow...remember? Only fair, right?

So not a relevant record that wasn't influenced by 2011. It's 2014. 2011 is getting blurrier by the week. Can't hang your hat on it forever.

That's pretty ironic when you've got a load of Stafford's baby batter running down your chin.

that's kind of everyones point. we kinnnnnda gave him a pass for having shitty weapons. So we went out and got more weapons. Now theres a whole set of different excuses. When you constantly have excuses maybe youre just not very good at what you do. which is why most people put him as a top 15-20 qb. Peyton Manning lost half of his oline last year....went to the super bowl.

Nah, I just think he gets way too much blame most of the time. He's a good QB, not great, not elite. He's had ONE player his whole fucking career to throw to that's been legit. We finally get a phenomenal #2 in Tate and what happens? Calvin gets hurt. It's a fucking curse

Who gives a fuck if he broke those records in 2011? HE BROKE THEM. End of strory. When someone else breaks them (and it will happen) then you can run your mouth. Until then....YES, you do hang your hat on it because it's a record that stands until someone breaks it.

Who gave him a pass?? lol. All you guys say is that he's been surrounded with allllll kinds of weapons. Tell me who!! After Calvin (who was already here) give me a legit name that was supposed to turn heads and break necks for this franchise. Before Tate

And I'm not making excuses for the guy. He needs to be better. He also needs his guys to stay healthy and his OLine to shape up and protect his ass. It's a two-way street.
