Stud team = 9 teams have equal or better record than us in the nfc alone. 6 of them have a better point differential.

I am more interested in how the D will be once Ziggy is 100% and Levy and Nagata are back. Slay in street clothes for rest of game might mean a more than mild hamstring strain. We might see him as not playing next week along with the bye week to heal up.

We have depth. Dts stepped up some today especially Thornton. Hyder. Williams had solid game at lb. Bush and killebrew made a few plays.

Bademosi is a worry for sure. Hope slay is a fast healer. Lawson and Diggs did better than past games

Ziggy playing hurt. Ngata, slay and levy. That is insane bad luck for injuries

Exactly! This team is playing with heart right now. It's insane what they're doing with this depleted beat up roster. Bend but don't break kinda team. Makes you really wonder what they could be accomplishing with a somewhat healthy roster.

Next two on the road against Texans and Vikings. Gotta go 1-1. Then we get the bye week an hopefully can get everyone back and healthy. (No, I'm not counting Levy....who I assume wont play again until 2017 if EVER again)

Lions have a shot to make the playoffs this year. Mostly because the NFC is a clusterfuck of average teams. However, making the playoffs with this roster and the amount of injuries we've had would be a massive accomplishment. I know, I know, its a long way between now and the playoffs.

Austin has to figure out a way to tighten up the middle of the field on defense. Slot WR, RB's and TE's just destroy us. It's WAY to easy for teams to make their 3rd and 7's or less against us. The only shot we have is if our opponents get a holding call or we get a sack on 1st or 2nd down. I'm not OK with continuing to do what DOES NOT WORK. Stop it with Wilson or Bush trying to cover slot WR's and TE's. It clearly isn't working. I know we're playing shorthanded here.....so if that's the case the only thing we have in our arsenal is to change things up.....do a better job of disguising coverages.....give QB's different looks.....drop a S in the box.....bring a CB blitz.....I don't care. Continuing to do the same thing over and over just makes it easier on opposing QB's.

We've been without Levy now for two fucking years......time to make a permanent adjustment to coverages.

Injuries suck for sure. But we perhaps are in the best injury situation in the NFC north.

Minny lost their Peterson, Bridgewater, both their LT and RT.
Green Bay is playing WRs at RB they are so injured.
Bears suck, but they are on their 3rd QB.

Everyone in our division is losing lots of players it seems.

3 of best 4 defensive players. Ansah playing hurt and missed. Plus top 2 backup lbs

And vikings got a better qb using a 1st. Injury early enough to help them. Their d which is key is healthy. Kalil and smith werent playing well either

Packers cbs and rbs. Detroit more injuries and better players. Green bay stupid enough to only have 2 rbs

i get playing heavy zone because of our personel. But the guys have to match up at some point. Its ridiculous how many times you see a guy wide open right in between 3 of our players. Really? Theres no one else around.....who the fuck are you covering? Theres just no awareness on our defense whatsoever.

There was a specific play yesterday I remember. Vernon Davis runs about 8-9 yards and sits between two of our LB's right in the middle of the field. Now, there is no back coming out of the backfield and as of the time Cousins threw the ball, no WR running crossing routes. Davis sat in that spot for a full second or more before Cousins threw the ball.

Neither of our LB's covered Davis. Easy pitch and catch. 8 yard gain. That cant happen. You cant have two LB's sitting in a middle zone covering air while a TE is 4 yards from you wide open.

Defense played better Sunday than I would have expected, finally some half way decent pressure on the QB, well in the first half at least, thought it kinda disappeared again later.

Might have to consider it??? If this team was 6-3 at the break we should be kissing Staffords, Jim Bobs and Caldwells ASS. We have 5-4 talent WITHOUT injuries. 2-7 or 3-6 talent with the injuries we've had. We play hard and find ways to win. That formula is hard to keep up for 16 games. We need to get healthy to have a punchers chance at the playoffs.

Stafford is playing better than anyone in the NFL not named Brady......but we have no depth and our starting LB's consist of Whitehead, Williams and Van Noy. Whitehead is a fringe NFL starter.....Williams is a 5th round rookie and Van Noy has started all fucking season and NEVER gets his named called in a broadcast unless he's late picking up the back in the flat......which he ALWAYS IS.

Might have to consider it my ass. All hail Tigermud......he'll consider being impressed if we play WAY above our talent level for 9 games.

Oh, and unless Stafford goes into some sort of QB trance and throws 40 perfect passes we aren't winning in Minnesota.
