Game 9: Dolphins @ Lions Thread

a 5'10" DB has to go up higher than I would have ever thought possible to make a one-handed grab with his arm fully extended... and somehow that pass was "underthrown".

Okay then.
My thoughts exactly. Right call by Stafford but the defense gets paid too.

So great plays by Lions WR stafford gets credit for giving them a chance. Great plays by defenders, not on Stafford. Deflecting the ball wouldn't of taken great play, interception was great play. Mostly great because he is tiny. Patrick Peterson deflects that ball with normal effort, intercepts with good play.
Unless someone wants to argue Staffs accuracy is so great he takes into account the height of DB when he releases a pass.

Two TD drives does not make an offense great.
At least four times starting on your own side of the field led to zero points.

Defense played great. Offense was adequate. Good enough for the win.

I remember during Baltimore's first Superbowl run their offense was not anything spectacular. Their Defense was bar none the best.

I'm rooting for the bears here but it looks like the packers are going to handle them easily

Tons of penalites screwed Stafford. And 2 of the 3 sacks really did. 20 points is clearly enough. Plus another FG attempt.

62% 2 TDs and 1 miracle int.

lead him to the back of the end zone and grimes doesn't even have a chance to make a miracle catch. your picture paints it perfectly....calvin shouldn't be slowing down and reaching back for the ball. hence it was underthrown.

poor throw allowed grimes to use his vertical....and allowed our freak of a wr to use 0 inches of his vertical.

was a damn good catch though...he played a good game.

Ross was wide open for 6 down the seam on that play too.

Yep average performance, no arguments here. Great defense allows for average offense. I'm cool with that. Just would like they would turn great field position into points so it doesn't need to come down to the end.

Just need to close out at least 4-3 and I'll be satisfied. Lions seemed to catch a break with palmer tearing ACL game before we face them.
Good thing for him he just got a new contract. Hate to see someone injured, but lions will benefit.

Defense seemed to play better than the stats suggest. 3 sacks 8 hurries and opposing qb going 27 of 38 would normally seem like a pretty average day.

I knew the bears were bad but this is pathetic. 35-0 with over 4 min left till halftime.

Just think gentleman, we still have 2 games vs these clowns.

That had to be the worst half of Football I have ever seen. Even the 0-16 team wasn't that horrid.......holy shit
